Marble Beach, the pearl of Thassos Island, Greece

Hello travelers

I've had a few pretty busy days, as you can see from my absence here, so let's not waste too much time. A few posts ago, I showed you a gorgeous beach with turquoise water that isn't too crowded (if you want to see what it's all about, you can do so here), so I owe you a presentation of one of the busiest/most popular beaches on the island of Thassos.

We also arrived here by car, and from the main road we had to drive another 3.5 kilometers on a dusty road, so if you want to keep your car dust-free, don't come here. At least after we left here, we had marble dust everywhere.

If you ever come across Saliara in your searches instead of Marble Beach, know that this is the local name for this beach.

After 3.5 kilometers, I honestly thought we wouldn't make it, the road took us a very long time, an important aspect is that we came from the Makryammos resort and this road made of marble pieces was still quite good, that is, suitable for a normal car, but there were also many tourists who came from the opposite direction exactly through the marble quarry, you should know that trucks loaded with marble drive there and the road is much worse.

After a while and a dusty car, we arrive at the private parking lot of this beach, a very large parking lot. When we arrived, about half of the parking lot was occupied, but after a few hours when we left here, I can honestly say that I had a hard time getting out of the parking lot, there were so many cars and also the insensitivity of some drivers who left their cars parked poorly.

Marble beach is a private beach, so if you want to stay here you have two options, the first option is to rent a set of sun loungers which in the off-season cost 30 euros (from what I know in the season they go up to 50 euros) or to stay in a slightly more secluded area on a towel, for free.

After taking a walk on the beach, be aware that the beach is quite small so it can be overcrowded in season, we decided not to stay here, so we chose a second beach that I presented to you in an older blog.

Initially, I didn't plan on making a post just about this beach, but I saw that a lot of people were looking for this place, that pushed me to write a post just about this beach, maybe it will be helpful for some of those who visit my posts.

Many of those who came to this beach chose to sit on their towels, so the towel area was very crowded.

Look at how the pine forest looks because of the dust raised by the cars, even though the road is pretty bad, the images are spectacular.

In conclusion of today's post, I can say that the beach is absolutely fabulous (it is probably the most beautiful beach on the island of Thassos), but it has a big disadvantage, in season it is extremely crowded, for me this is a minus.

What is your opinion on this?

THE END!

If you liked what you saw and read here please don't forget to give a LiKe, Follow, reBlog or a Comment, for all this I thank you, and until the next post I say goodbye.

Wow, Marble Beach is a stunning spot! Even with the crowds, those turquoise waters and marble surroundings make it look totally worth it.
