After the two earthquakes of magnitude 7.7 and 7.6 centered in Kahramanmaraş, one of the most affected provinces in Turkey, interesting images emerged after the debris surveys in Kahramanmaraş! This photo reminded us once again how big and painful the devastation was. After the debris removal work, large openings have emerged. The earthquake has been called the biggest disaster of the century in the world press, and this is no exaggeration. This photo attracted a lot of attention from the moment it was published in the media and reminded us again of the seriousness of the forgotten disaster.

Two months after the earthquake, people are still living in tents. The problems there have not been solved. Aid organizations continue to help the citizens in the region. Container house and school constructions continue. In addition to this, local people who have housing problems continue to migrate to nearby provinces. While Turkey has not yet recovered from this great chaos, it is heading for presidential elections. On May 14, 2023, Turkey will elect its president again! We are going through a difficult period as a country. Our priority is to close the wounds caused by the great disaster and solve the problems related to the earthquake. Hopefully, after the elections, Turkey will leave this disaster behind and regain its former bright days.
