Watched this film called downsized on Netflix the other day. From the moment I read the plot I figured it's gonna be something retarded but it seemed like a somewhat original idea so I figured to give it a chance. Plus, it had some big names like Matt Damon and Christoph Waltz so it couldn't be that bad!

The movie is set in a world where people minimize themselves thanks to some silly invention. And along with their size, they also minimize their carbon footprint and their living expenses. So, someone middle class can live and travel the world (in special tiny sits) like a mega rich mofo. And that while protecting the environment. Woohooooooo.

Yeah, retarded. Anyways.

Let's start with the good stuff. The special effects and the acting was imo solid. No complaints here.

My problem is with the actual movie. It fails in all genres it touches. Drama? Yeah, balls. Comedy? You will hardly laugh. Scifi? Retarded.

Some say this is a thought provoking film.. Yeah, thought provoking MY ASS. I know what they mean, but the delivery was dog shit. The kind of dog shit your dog does after eating dog shit.

Also, it felt like it had too many subplots that were poorly explored. Maybe this would be more interesting if it was a three episode miniseries, but as is, it tries to fit too much shit in just two hours, making it too hard to get invested in anything.. Midway through I was bored like fuck and thought to close the movie a couple times. Unfortunately, I am a total loser so I went all way through and watched to the end. Then I figured to kill myself but luckily I was too sleepy from the movie and took a nap instead.

An easy RETARDED/10 from me. Just skip

I hate watching a shitty movie, it really brings down the morals. At least this one brought sleep to you. There are some real fuckers, that after watching them, you'll be too angry to sleep.

Like did I just waste my 1hour 45 mins watching that?
