Legends of Tomorrow Season 7 part 2 | Weirdness to the roof [ENG/ESP]

Hello!!! Lately, I haven't been watching many movies or tv-shows, I get distracted very easily and leave them just a few minutes after starting. But Legends of Tomorrow is another thing, really, I wrote about them before, that was one or two seasons back and everything blew up since then.

Legends of tomorrow are currently in part 2 of season 7. They are characterized for being a bit weirder every season, also for having a very clear type of enemy each season.

This is a mega summary of past seasons:

Season one: Vandal Savage, an immortal man who has lived since the caverns and has a big influence on historical events. He's the cause of an apocalypse in the future and the death of Rip Hunter's daughter and wife. He's the first captain of the time travel ship "The Waiverider". Preventing that is what starts the series and the creation of the team called "Legends of Tomorrow" who are heroes and villains that can be taken out of the timeline and nothing changes.

Season two: the aberrations, massive distortion of historical events caused by Damien Darhk, an assassin who made himself live longer using the Lazarus' Pit, and his daughter Nora, following orders from the demon Mallus.

Season three: anachronisms, those were historical characters misplaced on the timeline, caused by the Legends breaking the timeline with so many changes, it explodes and sent them all over the spacetime. They have to fix it, but now it's not just them, but the Time Bureau, an organization created by the first captain of The Waverider to watch and protect the timeline with trained agents and not random guys like the legends.

Season four: fugitives; the legends were good enough to put everybody back where they have to be, but they also deal in season three with the demon "Mallus" he was trapped in a temporal dimensional prison and they let him out in order to access to her and kill her. But as the name suggests, they let out a lot of other creatures, magical creatures, like dragons and unicorns.

Season five: Blips. Those creatures were sent back to hell, not to the dimensional prison, and they hated it, but that movement brought attention to hell and a character with more history than we can think at first, starts to send back to life some horrible criminals, they were killed but got back seconds later, with magical weapons and can't be just killed because they are already dead. Since they are back in a second were called "Blips"

Season six: we got aliens and clones, yeah, it sounds even weirder, but it makes sense, this series is part of the arrowverse and now all the universes are merged together and we know that on Supergirls works aliens exist, here they were just not seen yet, or we thought so because one of the main characters was always an alien in disguise.

Las leyendas del mañana se encuentran actualmente en la segunda parte de la séptima temporada. Se caracterizan por ser un poco más raras cada temporada, también por tener un tipo de enemigo muy claro cada temporada.

Este es un mega resumen de las temporadas pasadas:

Primera temporada: Vandal Savage, un hombre inmortal que vive desde las cavernas y tiene una gran influencia en los acontecimientos históricos. Es el causante de un apocalipsis en el futuro y de la muerte de la hija y la esposa de Rip Hunter. Es el primer capitán de la nave de viajes en el tiempo "The Waiverider". Impedir eso es lo que da inicio a la serie y a la creación del equipo llamado "Las leyendas del mañana" que son héroes y villanos que pueden ser sacados de la línea de tiempo y nada cambia.

Tercera temporada: anacronismos, eran personajes históricos descolocados en la línea de tiempo, causados por las Leyendas que rompen la línea de tiempo con tantos cambios, esta explota y los envía por todo el espacio-tiempo. Tienen que arreglarlo, pero ahora no son sólo ellos, sino la Oficina del Tiempo, una organización creada por el primer capitán de La Waverider para vigilar y proteger la línea del tiempo con agentes entrenados y no tipos al azar como las leyendas.

Cuarta temporada: fugitivos; las leyendas fueron lo suficientemente buenas como para devolver a todo el mundo a donde tiene que estar, pero también se ocupan en la tercera temporada del demonio "Mallus" que estaba atrapado en una prisión dimensional temporal y lo dejaron salir para poder acceder a ella y matarla. Pero como su nombre indica, dejan salir a muchas otras criaturas, mágicas, como dragones y unicornios.

La quinta temporada: Blips. Esas criaturas fueron enviadas de vuelta al infierno, no a la prisión dimensional, y lo odiaron, pero ese movimiento llamó la atención en el infierno y un personaje con más historia de la que podemos pensar en un principio, empieza a enviar de vuelta a la vida a unos horribles criminales, los mataron pero volvieron segundos después, con armas mágicas y no se les puede matar sin más porque ya están muertos. Ya que regresan en un segundo fueron llamados "Blips"

Sexta temporada: tenemos extraterrestres y clones, sí, suena aún más raro, pero tiene sentido, esta serie es parte del arrowverso y ahora todos los universos están fusionados y sabemos que en Supergirl los extraterrestres existen, aquí simplemente no se veían aún, o lo pensábamos porque uno de los personajes principales fue un extraterrestre todo el tiempo.

Season seven

This is the season I want to talk about and well, it's kind of normal actually, after all of that, we are now dealing with androids. But the approach they did, I can't say if it's really original, because they get inspiration from the tv-shows history, but really keep you on the edge.

First, The Waiverider is a time machine run by an IA called Gideon, she has been there since day one and now she became human, so she's the first human-machine hybrid we see. She's has a human body but still, all the knowledge, that makes her 100% human and 100% computer. The first part of the season focuses a lot on her discovering how is it to be a human and the legends that are with her get to know more about Gideon and how she became the "person" she's now.

Temporada siete

Esta es la temporada de la que quiero hablar y bueno, es algo normal en realidad, después de todo esto, ahora estamos tratando con androides. Pero el planteamiento que hicieron, no puedo decir si es realmente original, porque se inspiran en la historia de los tv-shows, pero realmente te mantienen en vilo.

En primer lugar, la Waiverider es una máquina del tiempo dirigida por una IA llamada Gideon, que ha estado ahí desde el primer día y ahora se ha convertido en humana, por lo que es el primer híbrido humano-máquina que vemos. Tiene un cuerpo humano pero aún así, todo el conocimiento, eso la hace 100% humana y 100% computadora. La primera parte de la temporada se centra mucho en su descubrimiento de cómo es ser humana y las leyendas que la acompañan llegan a saber más sobre Gideon y cómo se convirtió en la "persona" que es ahora.

The second part of season seven started this January 12 after a big cliffhanger. The legends were attacked by an evil Gideon, she was copied and re-programmed on the future by the same man who created the clones and the androids. Being this a time-travel show, this evil Gideon who is still in the Waverider can interact with the Gideon who is now human, and the legends who are trapped in the past.

The scientist who stole her thought he can use her for himself, and that he can replace the legends on their duty of protecting space-time. But after restoring them to her original settings, she prioritizes her job over human life. Bishop, the scientists, escapes from her to meet The legends and join them to fight against that evil Gideon, but she, using his technology has created her own Legends to fight the original ones and uses them to kill Bishop who died like ones of the good guys.

He killed two of the androids who attack them and kill him, that's when we learn that there are clones of the Legends around.

La segunda parte de la séptima temporada comenzó este 12 de enero tras un gran cliffhanger. Las leyendas fueron atacadas por una Gideon malvada, que fue copiada y reprogramada en el futuro por el mismo hombre que creó los clones y los androides. Al tratarse de un show de viajes en el tiempo, esta Gideon malvada que sigue en la Waverider puede interactuar con la Gideon que ahora es humana, y con las leyendas que están atrapadas en el pasado.

El científico que la robó pensó que podría utilizarla para sí mismo, y que podría sustituir a las leyendas en su tarea de proteger el espacio-tiempo. Pero después de devolverla a su configuración original, ella prioriza su trabajo sobre la vida humana. El científico, Bishop, escapa de ella para encontrarse con las leyendas y unirse a ellas para luchar contra la Gideon malvada, pero ella, utilizando su tecnología ha creado sus propias leyendas para luchar contra las originales y las utiliza para matar a Bishop que murió como uno de los buenos.

Mató a dos de los androides que los atacan y lo matan, es entonces cuando nos enteramos de que hay clones de las Leyendas por ahí.

Season 7 episode 8 Paranoid Android

We don't get to see the original legends in this chapter, instead, we learn something very relevant: these androids don't know they are androids. The same way Sara Lance, the captain of the Waverider, and Ava Sharp, her co-Capitan and wife, didn't know they were clones, these Android Legends think they are real, they think by themselves and that they are the good guys. But Sara's spirit is strong and even being this android, she notices that something is off:

The two dead androids were "healed" when she saw them very dead, they came back being different so she investigated it. She couldn't verify anything at first but after she was accidentally shot by one of her teammates she was able to stay awake while she was being "operated on" and noticed she was more "fixed" the bullet damaged a metallic joint and that's what she saw. She acts as nothing happened and told one of the resurrected androids about it, she also thought she was human but she also sensed something was weird, she felt like a new person and she was, new body with a new program.

Season 7 episodio 8 Paranoid Android

En este capítulo no llegamos a ver a las leyendas originales, en cambio, aprendemos algo muy relevante: estos androides no saben que son androides. De la misma manera que Sara Lance, la capitana de la Waverider, y Ava Sharp, su co-capitana y esposa, no sabían que eran clones, estas leyendas androides creen que son reales, piensan por sí mismos y que son los buenos. Pero el espíritu de Sara es tan fuerte que aún siendo esta androide, nota que algo está mal:

Los dos androides muertos fueron "curados" cuando ella los vio muy muertos, volvieron siendo diferentes así que lo investigó. Al principio no pudo comprobar nada pero después de que uno de sus compañeros le disparara accidentalmente pudo mantenerse despierta mientras la "operaban" y notó que era más bien "arreglada" la bala dañó una articulación metálica y eso fue lo que vio. Actúa como si no hubiera pasado nada y se lo cuenta a uno de los androides resucitados, ella también pensaba que era humana pero también notaba que había algo raro, se sentía como una persona nueva y lo era, cuerpo nuevo con un programa nuevo.

Sara used to be an assassin and those abilities were the ones she should use to complete their missions, but her humanity grew every day and being able to have a team and love made her a better person. Evil Gideon doesn't care about that, she wants effectiveness. She sent android Sara to kill a woman because she's supposed to be already dead but was saved for the real legends. Having discovered what she is, she and the other android who knows, wanted to make the right thing and faked the murder, letting the woman live.

Back on the ship, Sara and Zari, the other android, tried to tell the other androids what's happening and shut down Gideon. But Gideon got into Zari's mind and reprogrammed her again, now she's no longer on Sara's side. Android Sara is alone against all the other androids and the Evil IA.

Sara solía ser una asesina y esas habilidades eran las que debía utilizar para completar sus misiones, pero su humanidad crecía cada día y poder tener un equipo y amor la hacía mejor persona. A la malvada Gideon no le importa eso, quiere efectividad. Envió a la androide Sara a matar a una mujer porque se supone que ya debería estar muerta, pero la salvaron las verdaderas leyendas. Al descubrir lo que es, ella y el otro androide que lo sabe, quisieron hacer lo correcto y fingieron el asesinato, dejando vivir a la mujer.

De vuelta a la nave, Sara y Zari, la otra androide, intentaron contar a los demás androides lo que estaba ocurriendo y apagar a Gideon. Pero Gideon se metió en la mente de Zari y la reprogramó de nuevo, ahora ya no está del lado de Sara. La androide Sara está sola contra los demás androides y la IA maligna.

Back again to her mission, we see Android Sara sitting side by side with the woman she saved, this woman trusts her but was surprised to see her so soon and asks if it is safe now.

Android Sara stabs her on the gut with no hesitation.

She's one of Gideon's weapons again, each of them even better than the last time they fought against the real legends, I'm very excited to see the next episode and how the real legends will handle fighting against the best version of their selves.

De vuelta a su misión, vemos a la Androide Sara sentada junto a la mujer que salvó, esta mujer confía en ella pero se sorprendió de verla tan pronto y le pregunta si ya es seguro.

Androide Sara la apuñala en el estómago sin dudarlo.

Vuelve a ser una de las armas de Gideon, cada una de ellas incluso mejor que la última vez que lucharon contra las verdaderas leyendas, estoy muy emocionada por ver el próximo episodio y cómo las verdaderas leyendas manejarán la lucha contra la mejor versión de ellas mismas.
