Pasarlo en familia | Iniciativa: Lo que me gusta de la navidad [ENG-ESP]

La cena navideña. Y no estoy hablando de las comidas navideñas en específico, sino del simple hecho de que ese día la comida es la protagonista, y al día siguiente siempre hay para comer de lo que quedó en la cena.

Sin importar lo diferente que sean las tradiciones en las diferentes regiones del país, sin importar los estragos de la crisis, siempre se ha preservado el hecho de hacer una comida especial, grande o pequeña, pero de que se come, se come.

De las comidas tradicionales como tal, desde niña mis favoritos eran el pan de jamón y la ensalada de gallina. No me gustaban las hallacas ni el asado porque no me gustaban las aceitunas, pasas, ni alcaparras. El pan de jamón lo comía porque eso se le sacaba fácil, y porque la panadería es de mi abuelo y me hacían uno para mi sin nada de eso. Sí, sí, más de uno me ha dicho "para eso te comes un cachito" pero no, no es lo mismo, si sacándole las aceitunas y las pasas a su pan le sabe a cachito, usted ha sido estafado jajaja. Ahora ya tengo 27 y sí como todo eso... más o menos.

No me centro en qué se come, ni en la cantidad de gente, ni en otros aspectos de las tradiciones porque son tan variables. En mi casa ya no hay niños, así que no hay niño Jesús, cada familia es parte de otras familias, así que no siempre puedes tener a todos, pero la cena navideña, siempre se puede hacer y compartirla con los que estén, que en mi caso es mi papá. mi mamá, mi hermana y mi abuela.

Y no sé si es tradición venezolana o en mi casa, pero comer al día siguiente lo que ha quedado de la cena (no es que sobre, apartamos para que sobre jajaja) es una de mis partes favoritas de todo. Desde pequeña siempre me levanto primero el 25 y el 31 a sacar lo que sea que haya del día anterior, especialmente la ensalada, para desayunar.

La comida siempre ha sido parte primordial. Ha ido reduciendo el tamaño y cantidad, con el tiempo y que al haber crecido todos ya no se hace tanto alboroto por los niños (yo era la niña porque que hacían alboroto en mi casa jejeje, bueno, y mi hermana). recuerdo que antes había hallacas, asado, ensalada de gallina, pan de jamón, pan normal por si acaso, cuadritos de jamón y queso con salsas como pasapalos, vino, refresco, etc.

Nos reuníamos en mi casa gran parte de ambos lados de la familia, luego todos se iban a sus casas y nos quedábamos los que vivimos aquí y al rededor, corriendo de un lado a otro viendo a quien le llegaba el niño Jesús primero.

Ahora nos reunimos a cenar, a conversar, y ya al otro día vemos cómo la pasaron en las otras casas.

He visto como cada vez la cadena llega a más persona, los eventos que se han realizado este año en el país han ido interesando cada vez a más personas, yo misma he empezado a hacer que varias de mis amistades se interesen y espero su interés se algo duradero.

Para Hive quiero que siga creciendo, que las personas aún por llegar vean el mundo de posibilidades que hay aquí, la utilidad que tiene Hive además de escribir blogs, pues sé que muchas personas tienen proyectos que tal vez no funcionan con un blog pero sí con muchas de las otras actividades que pueden realizarse en Hive.

Deseo que haya estabilidad en el crecimiento, que crezca exponencialmente podría decir, y todos nosotros lo hagamos también en ese proceso. Que se mantenga fuerte aún con las sacudidas del mercado, y todos los que aquí hacemos vida sigamos haciéndolo para que con cada crisis la comunidad se haga cada vez más fuerte.

Y para todos los Hivers ¡Mucho éxito, unas felices fiestas, y un feliz año nuevo!

Christmas dinner. And I am not talking about Christmas meals in specific, but the simple fact that on that day the food is the protagonist, and the next day there is always something to eat from what was left over from dinner.

No matter how different the traditions are in the different regions of the country, no matter the ravages of the crisis, the fact of having a special meal, big or small, has always been preserved, but if it is eaten, it is eaten.

Of the traditional meals as such, since I was a child my favorites were ham bread and chicken salad. I didn't like hallacas or Asado because I didn't like olives, raisins, or capers. I ate the ham bread because it was easy to get out of it and because the bakery belonged to my grandfather and they made one for me without any of that. Yes, yes, more than one person has told me "that's why you eat a piece of bread" but no, it's not the same, if you take the olives and raisins out of your bread and it tastes like a piece of bread, you have been cheated hahaha. Now I'm 27 and I do eat all that... more or less.

I don't focus on what you eat, the number of people, or other aspects of traditions because they are so variable. In my house, there are no children anymore, so there is no baby Jesus, each family is part of other families, so you can't always have everyone, but at Christmas dinner, you can always make it and share it with those who are there, which in my case is my dad, my mom, my sister, and my grandmother.

And I don't know if it's Venezuelan tradition or in my house, but eating the next day what's left over from dinner (not that it's leftover, we set aside for leftovers hahaha) is one of my favorite parts of it all. Since I was little I always get up first on the 25th and 31st to take out whatever there is from the day before, especially salad, for breakfast.

Food has always been an essential part. It has been reducing in size and quantity, with time and with everyone having grown up there is not so much fuss about the children (I was the girl because they made a fuss in my house hehehehe, well, and my sister). I remember that before there were hallacas, roast, chicken salad, ham bread, regular bread just in case, ham and cheese squares with sauces as appetizers, wine, soda, etc..

We used to get together at my house, most of the family from both sides, then everyone would go home and those of us who live here and around here would stay here, running from one side to the other to see who would get the baby Jesus first.

Now we get together for dinner, to talk, and the next day we see how they spent it in the other houses.

I have seen how the chain reaches more and more people, the events that have been held this year in the country have been interesting more and more people, I myself have begun to get several of my friends interested and I hope their interest is something lasting.

For Hive I want it to continue growing, that people still to come to see the world of possibilities that are here, and the utility that Hive has besides writing blogs because I know that many people have projects that may not work with a blog but with many of the other activities that can be done in Hive.

I wish that there is stability in the growth, that it grows exponentially I could say, and we all do too in that process. May it remain strong even with the shocks of the market, and may all of us who make life here continue to do so, so that with each crisis the community becomes stronger and stronger.
