Rank Battle Overhaul Part 2: Unveiling the Latest Updates

Hello Splinters Family

social media Main Page.png

My article today is about the recently implemented update last April 2, which is the second part of the rank battle overhaul. Let's revisit the first part of the rank battle overhaul. In the first part, the change they made was the removal of the summoner limit in rank battles. Here, even if you're in the bronze rank, you can still use max cards. You also no longer need to advance because your rank automatically advances based on your rating. They also removed the league leaderboard from bronze to gold. There's now only one leaderboard being tracked, and that's the champion leaderboard, which has been expanded to the top 50. They also adjusted the SPS reward pool per league and divided it into two formats: modern and wild SPS reward pool. In part 1, they also changed the rating system to a flat rating system, where it's +/-20 per battle. Because of the removal of the league limit, they also changed the energy costing and made it based on per league rating when purchasing energy. Here, your rating from the last season determines the cost of energy.

Summary of Part 1 of the Rank Battle Overhaul:

  • Removal of summoner limit.
  • Change in league SPS reward pool, replaced with modern/wild format reward pool.
  • Removal of bronze up to gold leaderboards, retaining only the champion leaderboard.
  • Change in the rating system to Flat rating system (+20/-20).
  • Change in last league energy cost to Last rating Energy cost.

In the 2nd part, here are the changes made to the rank battle overhaul.

REWARD CHANGE

In the 2nd part, they changed the reward system from traditional focus points to Glint Reward Tokens. Glint Tokens cannot be transferred; you can only use them in the new reward shop. In the new reward system, you no longer receive daily loot chests; instead, it has been changed to a reward shop where you can purchase items. In rank battles, you can obtain two tokens: SPS and Glint Tokens. There is a 50% increase in Glint tokens in the modern format compared to the Wild Format. The end of season reward has also been changed. You will no longer receive loot chests at the end of the season; instead, they are replaced by Glint Tokens. The higher your rating at the end of the season, the larger the Glint token reward you will receive, allowing you to purchase more items in the reward shop.

REWARD SHOP (GWEN'S GLINT SHOP)

This replaces the loot chest where you can purchase items in exchange for Glint Tokens. The reward shop is called Gwen's Glint Shop because Glint Tokens are the only currency you can use to buy items. In the shop, the items you can purchase include soulbound reward draw, merits, energy, potion, and limited edition titles. Yes, you can also buy limited edition titles in Gwen's Glint Shop.

Before the update on April 2, when you burned a Gladius card, you would receive DEC equal to the collection power of the card. After the update, you will only receive merits equivalent to the collection power of the card. Another change is that you can now burn soulbound reward cards in exchange for Glint Tokens, which you can use to purchase items at Gwen's Glint Shop.
