La Pitaya

Es una planta cactácea ( pertenece a la familia de las plantas cactus). y como tal habita en zonas áridas o de total sequia, son plantas rusticas de tallos largos de forma de triángulos y con espinas, son plantas silvestres que se enredan en otras plantas donde aprovechan la humedad.



La pitaya produce una fruta rica en componentes como polifenoles: (son compuestos antioxidantes que luchan contra los radicales libres en nuestro organismo).

Flavonoides:(Son antinflamatorios y mejoran la función de los vasos sanguíneos).

Son ricos en vitamina c, como antioxidantes , contribuyen a reducir riesgo de múltiples enfermedades, entre ellas las cardiovasculares, degenerativas e incluso el cáncer. además que gracias a la vitamina c aumenta la absorción del hierro en el organismo.

Otro de los beneficios de la pitaya es que ayuda en la creación de glóbulos rojos, siendo así ideal para aquellas personas que sufren de una anemia ferropénica.

El 90% de la fruta esta compuesta por agua y es rica en hierro, calcio, y fosforo. También contiene vitamina B,C y E.

Es rica en fibra por lo cual ayuda el transito intestinal.

90% of the fruit is composed of water and is rich in iron, calcium, and phosphorus. It also contains vitamin B, C and E.

It is rich in fiber which helps the intestinal transit.
