A STRESSFUL DAY WITH A HAPPY ENDING

Sometimes in life when we wake up in the morning we first appreciate the gift of life by thanking God almighty as a necessary way to show our gratitude. Today which happens to be the first working day in this new week really got me stressful as I have to attend to one of my customer who really needs my service for plumbing services.

I woke up around 7:00am and I did my normal morning routine. The first thing I did was to prayed,then went in to the bathroom to brush my teeth and clean myself up. After that the sound of my local birds and turkey are usually annoying because their sounds usually disturb me when am in bed. I attended to them after am done cleaning up by giving them sum feeds. Then I watered my peppers which I planted in the disposable bottles yesterday but I don't watered the tomatoes nursery bedding which I made some days back because there was a little rain shower in the fortnight.

Then I have my breakfast, eat like 6 slice bread with stew and water. I received a call from my customer and I rushed straight to him because I have been expecting his call as no one has really called me for plumbing services for more than a month. It's not easy being a family man as what I do outside of Hive is plumbing work but it is annoying as the country economy is not encouraging and the worst part is the issue of students on strike which has really affect the commercial of the community in which I lived.

As me and my customer reach his office he explained some issues they are facing and which sorts out perfectly and also help him change two taps which has worn out.

Before I am done,he has already drove off and when am through with the job there I have to take a cab to his place to finished the work over there as I couldn't get it done yesterday which happens happens to be a weekend and no plumbing materials store is open.
It took me about 5 minutes to get the job done and I left his place to run an errand for my sister. I helped her to submit some files to the Ministry of Agriculture as she is doing a project there but she is not around for a while now as she is presently at Lagos sorting some stuff out.

I was able to make some photocopy and print out some documents which she sent to me. When I reached where am supposed to submit the file, I couldn't meet the man at the office and I have to make a call to get through to him. We talked on phone for minutes and he told me that he is not around that he is somewhere carrying out assignment given to him but he did direct me to another office and I am happy that I was able to submit the file.

As I got home, I was really tired and hungry but I first take a shower and settled for my leftover bread and I have it with a bottle of malt to regain strength.

While taking a rest, I don't
Want to sleep off as I have an important football game exactly around 4:30pm. As I was waiting for my wife to come back from then I remember that we are out of gas and the time for the match is around the corner. As I was contemplating on what to do then my wife arrived. Thou, I should have went to the gas vendor since but I am cashless and I am waiting for the man which I render my service to in the morning to send me some money because he usually pay me with online transaction anytime I work for him.

I received the money in to my bank account some minutes before my wife arrived and I am confused on what to do as I don't want to be late to football game venue. But I thought of taking the gas cylinder with me to the pitch of play but as I reached, you know those local competition, they don't really stick to the normal time for the match kick-off and I used the opportunity to go and fill up the gas cylinder at the gas station. It took me some couple of minutes to get back home.

As I dropped the filled gas cylinder at home, the bike man is waiting for me outside and I quickly carry my soccer boot and some other kits and went back to the field. The match is about to start when I reached but there was a slight problem with selection of the players. Our central defender couldn't make to the football game venue as he is having his final exam at school. But our coach somehow later make the players selection but I was not in the starting as I have to settle to the bench since we have three strikers and we cannot all started at once. But as they are about to go to the field of play, our captain is not satisfied with the coach selection of the player playing at the in the central defender. He told coach to put me in the position and I fortunately I started the match.

It is really a crucial match we had in our hands as we have already lost our first match, drew the second and the last match is a must win for us.

I played the central defender efficiently and I received some praise from the fans watching and from my colleagues and players. We eventually won the match with two goals margin and I was awarded a man of the match.

I was so happy that my stressful day really payoff as I later have the reason to be happy for my team making it out from the group stage. All the team is happy and I coach order all the players to give a round of applause for my outstanding performance and I am happy that my stressful day later have a happy ending.
