Hi Everyone,

Got vaccinated through water administering as you can see all the birds trying to drink from the water, this is because their drinkers have been withdraw from the pen for an hour, this will give them the urge to drink from the water since they are all tasty and this will help to help achieve maximum result when it's comes to vaccination in broilersbird

I brought in a new batch of broilersbird and today make it exactly two weeks and I will love to share you about the challenges and their development so far.

I started poultry farm business last year and I must confess that I have been having it easier in raising broilersbird from a day old to maturity even despite how risky the business is especially when it's comes the issue of disease outbreak which has been a great threat to poultryfarm business for a long time.

Poultryfarm Business is definitely not for weak because it's a business that has a lot to do with time and paying attention to even the little things. Even though, their is no little things when it's comes to poultry farm business because a little negligence can cause a great disaster to your business.

My last year experience regarding poultryfarm business has even make more wiser especially when it's comes to properly managing poultryfarm business, marketing and most importantly the price of poultry birds feed which has becoming a great threat to the business.

My plan is to expand my poultryfarm business for this year though am still working on that. Though I haven't been really blogging much about my birds and poultry farm business lately due to some reasons but I'm happy to be back again to give you new update about my first batch of broilersbird for this year.

I started my poultryfarm business for this year with the same mindset and which is to be productive and profitability. Like I said earlier that today make it exactly two weeks that I have brought in new broilersbird to my pen, though this particular batch of broilersbird are different breed compared to my last batch. Broilersbird are of different breeds and the new breed of broilersbird that I brought in for this year is Ross308 compared to the former which is arbor acre breed.

This is how they look at week two which signify a positive sign in their growth and development

Honestly, this is the first time I will be raising broilersbird which is Ross308 breed. Though, I initially have a bad experience about them as I recorded five mortality out of 51 birds within the first week that I brought them in. The real reason why I lost those birds is because they have leg problem issues at a such a younger age and this is the first time I'm experiencing such.

And since then everything about the birds have been excellent. Starting from their growth rate and their development, everything is going well and I have been making sure to take the proper precautions to make sure they stay healthy.

Vaccination in broilersbird start from the first week till they reach fourth weeks. I started vaccinating my birds a week ago with 100 dose gumboro vaccine which is recommended for preventing bursal disease in poultry birds.

And today, my birds got vaccinated for reaching two weeks old with 100 dose of lasota strain which is recommended for preventing Newcastle disease in poultry birds and this means that they will be vaccinated with gumboro vaccine and lasota strain vaccine for the upcoming week respectively.

Apart from the 5 mortality recorded at the first week of bringing them in, no mortality have been recorded since then and their growth and development have been massively. Though the present harmattan weather has been real challenges and I will be blogging about it soon.

That's all for today regarding my poultryfarm business, the growth and development of my birds and I will be sharing more with you all.
