Coccidiosis is a parasitic diseases common among poultry farm business and can extremely affect your poultry farm business if proper measures is not taken. Below 👇 are some of the measures to stick with to prevent coccidiosis and other diseases against your poultry birds...

  • One of the first and important measures to stick with if you ever want to have a good production in poultry farm business is maintaining cleanliness in your bird's pen or poultry coop and keeping it dry as well. Almost every diseases in poultry farm business caused by microorganisms bacteria and virus and most of this started from dirty environment. Broilers Bird are very prone to diseases and that's why keeping their pen or coop's clean everytime is very important.

  • Another measures to stick with to prevent coccidiosis and other diseases in your poultry farm business is by practicing top biosecurity measures in your bird's pen or poultry coop. And one of the biosecurity measures to stick with is limiting people from outside from getting in to your production room or your bird's pen because their shoes maybe be a diseases carrier and just a droplet from their shoes could give rise to disaster in your poultry farm business.
    Another biosecurity measures to stick with is avoiding external flocks coming in contact with your birds because some of those birds maybe a diseases carrier and coming contact with your birds can leads to spreading of viral disease. And lastly, make sure to have a specific shoe that you only wear in your bird's pen, because wearing different kind of shoe in to your bird's pen or poultry coop could give rise to disease.

  • Poultry farm business is a business of numbers because the more the birds then the more the profit that is if you can actually take the risk. But overcrowding your birds in a small pen or poultry coop could leads to breakout of diseases and this can even caused a great loss to your poultry farm business. So it is very important to avoid overcrowding your birds and exposed them to a well ventilated and conducive environment.
  • While diseases easily spread among birds because they have many things in common. They drink and eat the same feed and even stay in the same pen or poultry coop which is the reason why diseases easily spread among them. Keeping their environment clean and dry is very essential for the growth and development like I said earlier and most importantly, avoid giving your birds unhealthy feed and water.
  • While taking your time to observe the activities of your birds is very important to easily identify the sick one among them and immediately isolate the sick birds to prevent the diseases from spreading to the other birds. You can also use herbal remedies like aloe Vera gel, garlic and so much more to aid the prevention of coccidiosis naturally and other diseases as well.
