JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure STONE OCEAN Review [Spoiler-free]

I'm a huge fan od JoJo's anime series and till this point we had a total of 5 seasons available to watch. I didn't expect to see new season so quickly, at 8 August I saw a Netflix trailer which announced a new (6th) JoJo's season titled as JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure STONE OCEAN. The release date was announced to be December 2021. I thought its gonna be late December but surprisingly while browsing Netflix I found its already released. Without hesitating I launched the first episode and I ended up finishing the first part of season in one day. For now the first part of season contains a total of 12 episodes, but thats not the end. I'm sure that we will get second and possibly third part in year 2022. Why I think so? Because the JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure STONE OCEAN manga contains 158 chapters and first 12 episodes covered only 50 chapters! So there is still a lot more content to be animated! But hey why am I so sure they will animate it? The reason is that JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure STONE OCEAN turned out to be a great success and the score on myanimelist proves it. I'm writing this post 3 days after release and JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure STONE OCEAN score is already at 8.85, additionaly ranked as top23 anime. I believe with time passing by it might even get into top10 anime list!

JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure STONE OCEAN Story review

The story happens in 2011, United States, Florida and it is about Jolyne Cujoh and her boyfriend.

They were driving a car and unfortunetly they hit a man with a car. Of course the guy died and Jolyne Cujoh was arrested and sentenced to 15 years in prison.

It wasn't her fault tho, it was her boyfriend who was behind the wheel, so why she got arrested and not him? I can't say more because I want to keep this post spoiler-free, but thats weird. Imagine getting 15 years in prison for nothing. I like the beginning, it is so dramatic. As u guys can guess later on we see Jolyne Cujoh facing the difficulties in prison, which is really interesting. If you guys seen previous seasons of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure you know for sure about the power called "Stand" , in Stone Ocean season we also have a bunch of Stand users!

I really enjoy all the fights between the stand users, all those fights are so iconics, not only action but the mind games between the users, and to make it spicy they need to hide with their powers, of course they can't be spotted by the guards, otherwise they would get locked in a separate cell which would make them unable to do any actions against other stand users. You might ask with all those stand powers why they don't just run away from the prison? Well.. theres also a reason for that and you will find it out by watching. All I can say its really interesting and imo a key thing why the story is so interesting!

JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure STONE OCEAN Characters review

To be honest to me characters in this season are pretty decent. Its not like I hate them and not like I love them. They are pretty unique tho. Thinking of all those new characters I can say my favorite characters in this season are Cujoh Jolyne and Report Weather, the other one are hmm just decent. The interesting thing is that by watching a previous seasons you should know who is the father of Jolyne since her surname is Cujoh. Yes! It is a Jotaro Cujoh. My favorite character in whole JoJo's universe. What is his role in this season? I can't say that too. Ahh its so hard to write a review without spoiling anything, but I'm trying my best!

JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure STONE OCEAN Opening and Ending review

The amazing thing about this opening is animation. I love the animations in this opening, but to be honest I dont like how this one sounds, its just my personal opinion but I think previous seasons had a lot better openings.

Actually this one is pretty good, I like that its in english because the opening was in Japanese, we have some diversity, and its pretty much chill ending, combining it with the beach animations it gives a really good vibes

This is the part when JoJo's allways shines. I love the soundtracks in every JoJo's season. They can boost the vibes by a lot, I love when they are played durning the fights. I've already choosed my favorite soundtrack in this season:

Alright JoJo's animations are so fucking genius. This season got animated by studio David Production, its the same studio that was taking care of the previous JoJo's seasons! To be honest, nothing more and nothing less to say. imo Masterpiece.

My personal score for the animations in this JoJo's season is 10/10 !!!

Summary and final score

Alright guys I guess thats the end of my review, without spoiling anything its all I could say. I'm gonna quickly add up the scores that I gave to the Art,Soundtracks,Opening/Ending,Story and characters, so we can get my final score for JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure STONE OCEAN: 8.5+6.5+7+8.5+10 / 5 categories = 8.1 :) haha I was really close to the 8.5 score which is public score on myanimelist! That means most of the people enjoy this season just as me! It was a really good time to watch this show and such a fun time to write my own review! I haven't done anime reviews since ages! :D
