CHANGING MY YOUNGER BROTHER'S DREAM JOB MADE ME A PROUD SISTER, READ TO KNOW WHY

I am so excited for this topic as It has given me opportunity to write on how I changed my younger brother's dream Job though in a positive way.

There was this handsome guy,a bossom friend to my elder brother, his name is Chika, he is calm, handsome and hardworking, every member of my family loved him to an extent that my kid brothers were coping his way of life, the said Chika was a carpenter but a carpenter with different as he is making cool money from the job, through carpentering work, he was able to build a good four bedroom flat, and bought a new model motorcycle then, my kid brothers saw this as big achievement and one of them decided that he would be a carpenter, it was like a joke when he said it but we never knew he meant it until he quit school when he was in JS 2, it wasn't easy to put him back in school then but knowing the value of education and how far he can go with it in life, I stood my ground that my brother can never end up being a carpenter but the question was what do we do? My parents subjected him to lots of punishment just to make him go back to school, but he vehemently refused. Everyone gave up, but I stood my ground and told him that he must go to school whether he liked it or not.

With my effort, he later went back to school after spending three months at home. I promised him that each A's he got in the exam would attract #500 from me. To my greatest surprise, this guy came back with Eight A's. I didn't have enough money then, but I had to fulfill my promise, so I gave him the money. I must confess, he is the best brain we have in the family.

Nonso finally graduated from Secondary school with the best results ever.

After his secondary schooling, he changed his ambition of being a carpenter to joining the Nigerian Army through recruitment. At that point, I knew exactly what to do, as I wasn't ready to argue with him again. I went straight and purchased a Jamb form for him. On reaching home with the form, he was excited. I told him that he was going to study medicine and surgery at the university, as I knew how brilliant he is, but he wanted an engineering course instead. In my mind, I said Engineering is a nice course. He proceeded to the Jamb exam and screening, and he got admission at first attempt to study Electronic Engineering.

Nonso in University

His reasoning changed immediately he entered university. According to him, He met this beautiful Girl he loved so much in her department, and the Girl is brilliant herself, so he thought the only way to win the heart of the Girl is by being more intelligent than her, so he had to study harder until he won the heart of the Girl, and he continued till he graduated.

Nonso as a graduate

My brother shocked everyone as he came out with a first class, not only a first class but the best graduating student in the whole Engineering Faculty in his university and this attracted a lot of scholarships for him. He moved to France for his Masters Degree, which he has concluded, now he is working in one of the best companies in Paris, can you see why I said,I changed his dream life positively?

Now he is sending some refreshment money for me and my family. I began to ask myself, What if I allowed him to be a carpenter as he wished? What if I didn't struggle hard to change his dream of being a carpenter or a Nigerian Army recruit? thank God I did and every member of my family is benefiting from it.
