DOMESTIC VIOLENCE// THE OLD PATH

Domestic violence goes against everything the Bible teaches about love, respect, and relationships. God wants husbands and wives to treat each other with kindness and care. For example, the Bible says in Ephesians 5:25 that husbands should love their wives the same way Christ loved the church—with deep, selfless love. That kind of love doesn’t hurt, control, or abuse. Instead, it supports and protects. The Bible also encourages mutual respect in marriage, not fear or harm.

God is clearly against violence of any kind. In Psalm 11:5, it says that God hates those who love violence. This shows that abuse is never acceptable in His eyes. If someone is going through domestic violence, they need to know that God does not want them to suffer in silence. It’s okay to seek help and protection. God cares about justice and safety, and it’s important for people and the church to stand up for those who are being hurt.

Well said. Domestic violence is never part of God’s plan. Love, as Christ showed us, is meant to protect, uplift, and bring peace, not pain.
