How could be you so calm Ali, you just lost a huge amount in a trade.?” I asked one of my friends

He chortled and said,” What should I do then? It is business and in business, you come across both losses and profits”

His reply was like water off a duck’s back.

It was not much far but a night before this conversation when we were discussing one of the crypto trades that was in the green line. He was happy and waiting for it to touch a specific price so that he might have closed the trade.
He inserted a tp value in trade so that if he was sleeping or busy somewhere else other than his phone, his trade gets stopped after securing a good profit. But at the same time, he removed the stop loss from the trade thinking it was already in green and would dip much now.

We had our dinner, trudged out for a walk, and then we went back to our rooms to sleep. I was very curious about this trade as it might have secured profit because he put a great margin on it. I wished to touch its tp so that I could sneak money from his pocket in the name of a treat and could go out for some delicious food.

The next morning, out of curiosity, I opened Binance immediately after waking up because we predicted that trade might have touched its tp by the night. But what I saw, astounded me. The crypto market was dumped. The whole market crashed with coins getting devalued from 10% to 50$ even. Millions of dollars of investors and traders were liquidated. If my concern was right, Ali’s account might have been liquidated as well because the coin in which he was trading was dumped even below his liquidating price.

I called him. The bell was ringing and at the last moment before the call might have dropped, he picked it up.

“Yes, Usman what happened?” He said after attending the call in a drowsy tone.

I didn’t know how should I tell him. It was a great loss. Finally, I dared to mutter, “Ali did you check the Binance? The market crashed ……go and check your account to see….” I couldn’t say further

I was predicting that his reply would be confounding. He might have worried but his reply confounded me.

“Yeah, I know I received a call. It was about two hours ago when the market was dumped and my whole account was liquidated”

I was astonished by such a reply. Was he in his senses?? When he picked up my call, he was drowsy. He woke up from his slumber to pick up the call. How can one who just suffered such a huge loss, could sleep so easily?

“Ali, Are you getting yourself what you are saying?? Your account has liquidated and you have lost all your assets.” I surprisingly asked him.

He replied with a smile “Yes, I know it far before you. Do you want me to get panicked and mourn over that loss?? What will that give me? Will that revert my loss?”
“No… so just chill and let me sleep, “ He said in a buoyant manner.

He switched off the call and left me thinking that when I was guessing he would be sad and dilapidated morally but his nonchalance proved that it was like water off a duck’s back.
