☠️ Boss Slayer ☠️

Finalmente estamos na última missão do Caminho do Artista que faz parte da segunda campanha de adoção da Leofinance. A campanha termina no dia 10 deste mês e ainda há muito o que se fazer mas para esse desenho eu precisei reservar alguns dias para pensar nos conceitos, fazer os esboços e desenhar da melhor maneira possível. Esse Final Boss tem uma temática que combina perfeitamente: Desenhar uma imagem de um Leão poderoso que acabou de derrotar o boss final.

Eu e muitos outros somos esse leão poderoso e estamos dia após dia derrotando os bosses das missões Zealy, mas não devemos nos contentar apenas em realizar os feitos solicitados nessas missões, após a campanha acabar devemos continuar nos empenhando para tornar as Threads cada vez melhores afinal todos somos beneficiários do que é construído na Web 3.

Precisei pensar bastante para decidir como eu iria desenhar o leão que derrotou o boss final, então comecei a relembrar os vários jogos que já zerei ao longo da vida, então surgiu uma ideia de uma da minha série de jogos favoritas: Dark Souls! Para os que já jogaram Dark Souls 2 e Elden Ring talvez se lembrem como o jogo termina: o jogador sentando no trono depois de derrotar dezenas de bosses que se colocaram no seu caminho.

Tomando essa inspiração como base eu comecei a fazer o meu desenho. A ideia seria fazer um leão com uma bela armadura sentado em seu trono conquistado após muitas batalhas. Durante o início do processo eu simplesmente esqueci de tirar fotos, então não tenho registros dos esboços iniciais mas a estrutura do meu desenho ficou assim:

O cinturão com o símbolo Zealy mostra que ele venceu todas as provações e se tornou o verdadeiro campeão do Zealy. Agora eu fui adicionar os adornos do trono e os detalhes na armadura. Enquanto fazia isso acabei mudando a estrutura de algumas partes como o cinto e a coroa, além de dar uma boa repaginada no rosto e na juba do nosso poderoso leão.

Agora faltava apenas fazer os acabamentos, detalhar mais algumas partes e sombrear o desenho. Esse foi o resultado:

Finalmente me senti satisfeito com a qualidade do desenho, então chegou a hora de salvá-lo no computador e utilizar um editor de imagens para aprimorar as cores do desenho ao máximo. Primeiro eu removi o fundo da imagem utilizando o remove.bg e ao finalizar todo o processo de selecionar a parte que deveria ser removida, baixei a nova imagem e coloquei ela no canva.

Para compor o fundo eu escolhi esta imagem e depois colei o leão sentado no trono e ajustei sua posição (meu desenho havia ficado torto 🤣). Depois vem a parte difícil que é ficar fazendo ajustes várias e várias vezes em todo o tipo de filtro, sombreamento, iluminação e etc para conseguir o melhor resultado possível. Meu objetivo seria deixar os traços e as cores do leão mais vívidas, mas suficientemente destacadas para que o desenho não se perdesse com a cor do background (inicialmente era colorida mas eu transformei em cinza). Esse foi o processo que eu fiz:

Gostei bastante do resultado final e espero que todos vocês também tenham gostado. Essa é a minha interpretação de um Leão que foi capaz de superar as adversidades e derrotar todos os bosses, conquistando seu trono e o poder que tanto almejava.

Para aqueles que já jogaram RPG de mesa eu também fiz outra versão utilizando um Token Border customizado que eu baixei aqui, dessa forma é possível utilizá-lo como iamgem de perfil para representar seu poderoso leão em uma mesa de RPG.

We are finally at the last quest of the Artist's Path which is part of the second Leofinance adoption campaign. The campaign ends on the 10th of this month and there is still a lot to do but for this design I needed to set aside a few days to think about the concepts, make the sketches and draw as best I could. This Final Boss has a theme that matches perfectly: Draw an image of a powerful Lion who just defeated a final boss.

I and many others are this mighty lion and we are day after day defeating the quests bosses of Zealy, but we should not be satisfied with just accomplishing the feats requested in those quests, after the campaign is over we should keep striving to make the Threads better and better after all we are all beneficiaries of what is built on Web 3.

I needed a lot of thought to decide how I was going to design the lion that defeated the final boss, so I started reminiscing about the various games I have played throughout my life, then came up with an idea from one of my favorite game series: Dark Souls! For those who have played Dark Souls 2 and Elden Ring you may remember how the game ends: the player sitting on the throne after defeating dozens of bosses that stood in his way.

Taking this inspiration as a base I started to make my design. The idea would be to make a lion in beautiful armor sitting on his throne conquered after many battles. During the process beginning I simply forgot to take pictures, so I have no records of the initial sketches but the structure of my drawing looked like this:

The belt with the Zealy symbol shows that he has overcome all trials and become the true Zealy champion. Now I went to add the throne ornaments and armor details. While I was doing this I changed the structure of some parts like belt and crown, as well as giving a good overhaul to the face and mane of our mighty lion.

Now all that was left was to do the finishing touches, to detail some more parts and to shade the drawing. This was the result:

Finally I was satisfied with the drawing quality, so it was time to save it on the computer and use an image editor to improve the drawing colors as much as possible. First I removed the background using remove.bg and when I was done selecting the part that should be removed I downloaded the new image and put it into canva.

To make up the background I chose this image and then pasted the lion sitting on the throne and adjusted its position (my drawing had gone crooked 🤣). Then comes the hard part which is to keep making adjustments over and over again to all kinds of filters, shading, lighting, etc to get the best possible result. My goal would be to make the lion's features and colors more vivid, but highlighted enough so that the drawing would not get lost with the background color (it was initially colored but I turned it to gray). This is the process I did:

I really liked the final result and I hope you all did too. This is my interpretation of a Lion who was able to overcome adversity and defeat all bosses, conquering his throne and the power he longed for.

For those who have played tabletop RPG I also made another version using a custom Token Border that I downloaded here, this way you can use it as a profile image to represent your mighty lion on an RPG table.
