SUPPLY RUNNER: SWIFTNESS - SPLINTERLANDS [PT-BR/ENG]

VERSÃO EM PORTUGUÊS
(nativo)

SUPPLY RUNNER

Show de Miss!

ENGLISH VERSION
(translate google)

The amount of cards that at first look just plain bad in Splinterlands is huge. We looked at a card, looked at its stats and thought: wow, is that all? That was my initial reaction when looking at Supply Runner as it didn't offer anything interesting for a 6 mana cost.

But today's post is to talk about how I bitterly regret this initial review and explain why Supply Runner is such a wonderful card. Hope you like the content.

SUPPLY RUNNER

The reason he looks like a bad card at first is simple: his stats are pretty mediocre and he doesn't have any abilities. In the course of the levels he is still not very useful, but everything changes when he reaches level 5.

By obtaining the skill Swiftness this card gains enormous potential, being extremely useful for your team when distributing and allow your cards to get attack priority and still be able to dodge enemies better.

Already in the silver alloy it is possible to use it at level 5, making it great from the lowest to the highest leagues. If you still think this card isn't that strong, then come follow my game to understand the offensive and defensive potential of the Swiftness skill.

HIGH SPEED BATTLE

In this match we both opted for Lorna comps, but while I focused on buffing the units with Silvershield Knight and control the field using Shieldbearer Taunt, my opponent opted for catch fast (and high level) assassins and further boost their speeds with the Supply Runner Swiftness skill.

That way he managed to make almost all of his composition manage to hit before my cards, not to mention the increased chance of my attacks missing (and it happened a lot). Speed is a very powerful Status and if it is used well, it will result in results like the one shown below.

The greater the difference in speed, the harder it will be to hit your opponent!

Miss Show!

The Runner skill widened the gap between speeds, causing my units to miss soooo many attacks, totally missing the offensive potential I had planned with the damage buff.

Whoever is fastest beats first!

Dying without being able to attack!

In many rounds my monsters died without being able to attack in the round, further decreasing my DPS and making my chance of winning this confrontation practically zero.

LESSONS TO LEARN

Not only in this defeat but in many others where the Supply Runner buff made all the difference, I started to realize how impactful the speed was in Splinterlands. After understanding this I started looking for faster comps, focusing a lot on using the summoner Kitty whenever possible.

Downplaying the speed stat can be a fatal mistake, in the same way that focusing your efforts on increasing your team's speed can reward you immensely as was the case with the enemy composition in this battle presented, since a good part of my DPS was simply reduced for missing or dying before attacking.
Being fast can be a great skill!

Thank you so much to everyone who read this far, I hope you enjoyed it. If you like my content, I ask you to send your vote on the post and follow my profile so you can read future posts.
