PhotoFeed Macro Photography - Blue Pierrots Butterfly

Namaste to all #photography and #nature lovers.πŸ™

I don't generally take pictures of insects and the simple reason is that you need a good camera to capture their details. But recently I explored a feature of my phone. Although the feature is old, now I have just understood it a little better.

Actually, earlier I used to zoom in to take distant pictures and they would come out so blurry that it seemed as if the camera had cataracts. I tried many different camera settings but the outcome was always the same. Then after seeing a butterfly less than half an inch in size on this evening's walk, I thought of using the zoom-in feature to take pictures of a nearby object.

And its result is in front of you.

You can estimate the enlargement of this picture from the fact that the thing on which this butterfly is sitting is, first of all, a part of a type of grass and secondly, you can see its hair too. These shiny dots on the wings of this butterfly are a distant thing, I couldn't even see the entire pattern with the naked eye. I was actually taking pictures of a flower and it passed by me and frankly, it still looks like a moth to me.

But, Thanks @melinda010100 who told me about this Google app. So, I asked Google Lens and it told me that its name is 'Blue Pierrots Butterfly'.

I know there is still some blurriness in this photo, which I can't do anything about because this is the best performance of my phone.πŸ˜… If I expected anything better than this from my phone it will definitely leave me.πŸ˜‚

They say the "B's" are the hardest to photograph. B as in Birds, Bees and Butterflies. One reason for this is they are perpetually in motion that focusing on them alone is already quite difficult. You actually did very well with this photo. The timing was perfect because it only takes a split second for the butterfly to move and you would have missed capturing beauty forever. Great job. πŸ˜ŠπŸ‘πŸ˜Š

I didn't know this fact but it's true that I can't take photos of birds with my phone because apparently, they move very fast and the phone zoom feature doesn't work like pro cams. So yes, I am also surprised by this picture.πŸ˜„ But everything you said really motivates me to do better. Thank You for appreciating it sir. πŸ˜ŠπŸ™
