The tour

Climbing the hills of ekiti state in southwest Nigeria was one of the few memories i had to cherish alot.

This journey was somehow differently from the ones i have been used to because it was never planned at first..
Knowing fully well that i have never visited the state before,i was eager to know and visit these very hills here that later turned out to be an interesting story too..

So we went there for a program that happened to be a campings program were we all had our tags and alot of rules to follow, especially when it involves living the camp ground to go and climb mountains.
At first i never planned a visit to this state but at last i had to go because some people that were supposed to go for the program were not available on that very day..
So when we got to the state every thing was normal and we did follow the rules of not going out till the very last day of the one week camp.
That day was our last day so there was nothing much to do aside getting our things to head back the next day..
That was the day some of us suggested we visit the hills around us .. because they appeared to be very close to us,
It was looking like that till we decided to go for the journey and it turned out most of this tall hills were very far from us ..

/after much consideration we decided so settle for the closest one around us and at last we were able to climb it to take few pictures/..

We stayed for more than 4hrs climbing one hill to another,
The funny thing that happened was when after a while we saw some men with long hunter guns about 5 of them rushing towards us.
At first we were calm but because the place was somehow lonely and high , with the way those men were rushing and pointing at us , we all had to start running and another set came out from the direction we were running to..
Indeed it felt like we were all being kidnapped because we were like 10 guys ,and the men with guns were like 15.
Everything that was running through my mind was how to disappear from there and then the tension was really much..

Well the only thing that made us to be finally calm was when we saw one of the camp co-ordinator with them and when they got closer ,they started asking were we think we wanted to run too..
Indeed it was very scary coupled with the lonely location of the hill..
At the end they took us to their security ward and cautioned us to be careful around the areas because of the rate of kidnapping and other things going on in that region..

*Indeed that day was very memorable and its just amongst the days i wont be forgetting anytime soon *🤭
