Marikina is the shoe capital of our country Philippines

Marikina is known as the "Shoe Capital of the Philippines" owing to its famous shoe industry. It is the biggest manufacturer of shoes in the Philippines, producing almost 70% of shoes made in the country.

I remember the first time I went on Marikina I'll never forget how beautiful that place is. It became more special because it was night, we saw the sparkling lights and shoes just like in the photo. I've never thought that I can share my little experience in that place. And knowing Marikina makes me more proud as a Filipina.

Shoemaking help a lot of people to lived hardwork, patience, courage and perseverance was the key to make a pair of shoe. I cant give all the idea about it but you can freely search about our famous shoe capital. All I know is making it is not just a job but you need to have the passion and love to your work. And I admire all the shoe makers because they made a thing that will protect our foots. They also nailed the style that we wanted.

I think security would be required to watch the shoepile outside a place like that. Shoemaking is a dying art here in Cambodia. In 2010 I would occasionally see a shoemaker while traveling, but now they only exist on the outskirts of major cities, sad to see such a skilled trade slowly losing to cheap foam factory-made shoes.

No sir @justinparke the security is not so strict. Beside that huge shoe is a museum of our former first lady Imelda Marcos of the Philippines. She has a lot of shoe collection.☺️

Imelda Marcos and her shoe collection, I didn't even think of that when making this challenge 🤫.
