Shrimps are naturally delicious specially when its fresh. And the benefits of living in the water world is to freshly caught shrimps and fish under the water.

Before hubby used a apparatus to caught shrimps and fish. But because his working on Manila he gave his apparatus to his brother. The photo above hubby caught a lot for that day and his been lucky. But he did not used anything except for his hands, yes he only asked for a pair of gloves. Sometimes the shrimp are easy to caught but they are often creating holes under the mud. And that makes its harder to find, my husband showed my his hands he really had been pinched by those big shrimps. When it's really seasonal theres are a lot of shrimp on our farm and many of them took that as an opportunity to caught a free delicious meal for that day.

Here's how we cooked our shrimps

Tomato Soup Shrimp

If you guys are familiar with the famous "sour soup of Pinoy" you'll be sure to like this simple recipe.

Ingredients

Chopped onions
Smashed garlic
Sliced tomatoes about 5-6 pieces
Water
Shrimps
Fish sauce and
Seasoning

Procedure

On a pot place the onion, ginger and tomatoes add two cups of water. Let it boil and after put the shrimps add fish sauce and seasoning to taste. Cover and wait for 20 minutes, taste and find what's missing. And your done

And here's my finished product

Next we have "Fried salted shrimp" or (hilabos) in Filipino

Ingredients

Salt
Seasonings
Water
Shrimps and
Cooking oil

Procedure

In a pan put the shrimps add a little salt, seasoning and a 1/8 cup of water. Why that little amount? Because we learned that when cooking shrimps it can release it's water inside its body and it makes the meal more delicious and aromatic. Then cover the pan because it's high heat wait for it to simmer, my technique after it simmer I low down the heat. Whene its already drying put cooking oil not too many then it will slowly fried up.

Hi there, @usagigallardo015. 😃 I love seafood and wonder what its like living close to water. You are so lucky. These shrimps are big! 😳 Usually I get tiny ones where I live.

Two recipes! The dishes look delicious. You don't like spicy meals? I would have added lots and lots of pepper in Tomato Soup Shrimp. 😃😃 Thanks for sharing.
