Let's Cooked Mud Fish "Pesang Dalag"
Happy Monday wonderful community of @asean.hive as early as 3:20 in the morning im wide awake preparing for my husband's food. He didn't expect that he'll be a bit drunk last night. So I already know that he can't eat before going to work. But I know he will together with his brother and cousin.
This weekend my brother in law gave us a mud fish or Bulig/Dalag in tagalog. Does anyone of you tried to eat mud fish? Back in Manila, my growth place I never seen any of it. My mom never bought that stuff or maybe she did but she knew I wouldn't try to eat it, so she never tell. Hubby decided to cooked Pesang Bulig or saute soup mud fish for it. It's a famous dish in provinces that needs frying then sauteed with a lot of ingredients. And today I will show you first on how to clean the mud fish properly.
First, hubby cut the fins then I was the one that going to remove the scales. Then I slice its tummy and removed all that needs to be removed. Hubby's relative even told that I'm really good in cleaning mud fish. I didn't removed the gills because hubby want it as it. I salted then fish and it's now ready to fry.
After frying the mud fish set it aside because where going to cut and wash the ingredients needed.
3/4 kilo of cabbage
3/4 kilo of potatoes or sweet camote
2 medium onions
6 cloves of garlic
1 piece of ginger
2 table of fish sauce
Seasoning
Pepper
Cooking oil
1/2 to 1 cup of water
1/4 kilo of banana
Procedure
After cutting and washing the ingredients. Get a large pan put cooking oil, add garlic, onion, ginger, caramelized and add fish sauce. Then add water, seasoning and pepper cover after it boils put the fried fish, potatoes or camote let it simmer for a while. Now add the banana and remaining green leafy veggies and youre done. It was been an enormous lunch I thought the veggies aren't going to be cooked. But hubby wanted it half cooked and it was a delicious and healthy lunch. My brother in law also eat with us.

Thank you so much @asean.hive community
You appear to be quite the chef! I am always afraid to try cooking fish because it is going to make my condo smell bad and I am terrible at getting around the bones!
Well in that case sir @gabe.radke you just need to order the food you want. And thanks for dropping by.
