Self Love: Guarding Your Sanity

I love to describe our Minds as a Beautiful Room that can accommodate anything, good, bad, ugly, and dirt as well. These things can be brought in by us the owner of the Room or from outsiders coming into the room. However you can choose to keep it clean or dirty, you could choose to keep your visitors and others outside or clearly instruct them how you want your room to look like.

So how Can guarding your sanity Be a form of self-love

Our Minds have the ability to assimilate things very fast and also the ability to retain them either in long-term memory or short-term
It is far from impossible not to accept or respond to both negative and positive words, threats, or actions from our friends, families, colleagues, peers, loved ones, and even strangers.
You could tell how life has been going on a daily basis, you could tell of all the hustle and bustle that comes with living, the people we meet every day, our relationship with them, and the responses and interactions that exist between them.

As these interactions occur negative or positive responses could be dished out. The negative ones tend to stick while the positive ones don't really last. Unfortunately, negative words and actions seem to have greater influences on us. It affects our moods for a longer time than the positive ones. You keep reminiscing even in your subconscious about an awful event that occurred even more than a week ago.
During this process of reminiscing about an unfortunate event, you graduate to sulking, spend much time on it, rack your brain around it, meditate on it, you might even start crying about and then depression sets in.

Now Remember we talked about the mind as a beautiful 6, your beautiful room has started accommodating debris and filthy things that will make it dirty, swarmed by assimilating those 6th at you, and gradually your brain gets messy and you begin to break down.
There are levels of criticism a person should be able to take at a point, most times it goes way beyond criticism to judgments and then to condemnations. Most times the people involved in this act see this behavior as a form of advice but then they are tearing the other down.

Welcome to my world.
A part of my life last year was facing some wild moments, my sanity was badly tampered with, my whole world came crumbling, and waking up to a new day became a nightmare for me. I needed to get out of the space I was but it proved abortive and the only available option was to manage to find a means to find peace in chaos. I have not always really been an controversy, at least to some extent I could express my self and my mood freely. All of a sudden I crawled by into my shell unable to the surface and whilst in there i developed some attitudes which has helped me

Here are some useful Tips to safeguarding your Sanity

You may ask the relationship between self love and sanity, here it's, no matter how hard you try to take care of your yourself, pamper or treat yourself by maybe resting, exercising, eating, and sitting healthy, your peace will always be toiled and tampered with if you can't secure it.

Declutter

Just like how you do when your room is messy and unkempt, do the same to your mind. Trash a lot of irrelevant items, sort unused items out, and clean and mop out all the dirt in the form of negativity out of your mind.
It's never easy to let go of traumas, hurts, and p, as encountered by people, the hate, the critics, the judgments, and sarcastic gestures, but then you just have to TRASH IT

How to Declutter

Take frequent Naps
Eat healthy
Read books
Unplug and catch some fun

Detach

Detach from every form of idle relationships, mind your business, focus only on your career and dreams, never sit at a table to discuss another because when you leave, you are the next item of discussion.
Detach from friends, attitudes, and lifestyles that draw trouble closer to you, clean and tidy your circle, and shut the Door on irrelevant things. Get busy with your self and the things you love doing most instead of dwellingg at where you shouldn't.

Forgive, forget but not Foolish

We all know the saying once bitten, twice shy. It is important to let go of past hurts, forgive and move on because keeping it only creates a vacuum and more hurt to You as you keep on remembering it. But then forgiving and forgetting must not make you foolish enough to repeat the same mistake over and over again.

Get Busy

Of course you have a life, you have future, get busy, think Big, strategize and do more of what you love.
