Here in Nigeria, we are currently in a pandemic. It looks so light but the effects it has made and bruises, laid in the heart of the masses trust me the scars will never fade.

Amidst all these,what keeps us strong is the ability to box all this and turn it into a comedy, catch cruises and joke over it even when we are dying.

Never can it be said we have a democratic government here. It's not apathy but the whole truth of the reality we are facing.
Why am I sounding so? Because certain laws and rules, project made has affected us the middle class and the low economy class.

I have been on earth and in Nigeria for decades and counting now and we've been struck by so many things.

We had Boko Haram, a terrorist group that cause chaos and destruction everywhere. We had Ebola, corona Virus, flooding, inflation, protests, and currently Cashlessness.
This period has made a lot of people assume that Covid was way better than now.

A short Notice came in that all old notes(#200, #500, #1000),Should be taken to the bank to replace and get new notes. Unfortunately it never happened like that.

The new notes have not been circulated, and the old notes Are being sold(i.e you pay almost 20% of whatever amount you are redrawing as your charge by POS operators).
Money is not available at the banks because of the stampede and mob there.

Prices of things have gone so high yet we cant find money to buy this items.
Traders are not receiving old notes any more at the market. Same with gas stations and public transport.

What was the purpose of changing the notes.

I can't really tell the purpose of this projects. Except that we are suffering, no food, no fuel, no money. We are buying our own hard earned money with money just to survive.

I call this a pandemic because lives have been lost, there's so much hunger right now. People have been rendered helpless, properties have been destroyed including banks. People have lost their money and business. Indirect curfew because there is no money circulated for movements. Politicians that hoarded money are making their way into banks with bags of old notes and getting new ones immediately.

What was made to be for correction and like an upgrade has turned into a living hell for the poor masses and I am a victim of this.

We are real survivors and everything will surely be fine❤
