Monochrome - travel back

Travelling back to a place my dad used to work long ago - a train station in a village called Pfeddersheim - now part of Worms, my city of birth. I love to travel back in time and take photos from my home places one in a while especially when I can edit them to Monochrome.

About Pfeddersheim

The former free imperial city Pfeddersheim (German pronunciation: [ˈpfɛdɐs.haɪm]; locally [ˈpedɛʒm]) is a borough of Worms since 1969. It became a borough after 2,000 years of independent history.

Pfeddersheim is located in the Pfrimm valley in Rhenish Hesse and surrounded by Riesling vineyards. The well-preserved defensive towers and wall are tourist attractions, as are the synagogue and the Lutheran-Catholic Simultankirche (a church which contains a Lutheran and a Catholic church in one building).

During my time as football player at Wormatia Worms we often had the pleasure to beat the local club TSG and there still is a certain local rivalry amongst these clubs and "cities".

Irgendwie erinnert mich das sofort an die alten Don Camillo Filme...
