The Future of Rabona Game Rewards - Bigger and Diversifying

The 62nd Rabona soccer game season ended about 24 hours ago. I was privileged to receive 0.642 in addition to the 40.2 million RBN tokens I earned during the season. It's amazing that I alongside tens of other Rabona game player received a share of the HIVE rewards for the season. As the Rabona game is growing in development and number of players, it becomes very necessary to look into the future of its rewards with a view to improving it and setting it on a sustainable pedestal.

Having been constantly receiving about that amount of HIVE each week from the @Rabona.rewards account, I was curious to know the source of the rewards each season and how the team manages to raise that amount of rewards each season over the last 62 weeks. In response to my query on the Rabona Discord, I received the answers below:

The pool is set to 400 HIVE per season. the total payout is usually smaller, around 360-380 HIVE, because there are users who end up with negative balance, so they do not receive HIVE and instead the reward is converted to RBN - @mciszczon

Each season, the Rabona team pools as much as 400 HIVE from the rabona piggybank to reward its numerous players. That's about 24,800 HIVE over the last 62 seasons and still counting. That is definitely a huge sum that has been consistently distributed to players not minding the prevailing Hive prices. Amazingly, part of the sum is used to buy off RBN from the market when some players miss out of the rewards due to extra-ordinary poor performances.

I did my simple arithmetic that revealed that the Rabona players can get something of more value at the end of each season if the 400 HIVE is engaged within 7 days interval that the season runs and just then, I remembered Dieselpools. Although RBN is yet to be traded on hive-engine, however, ONEUP remains a gaming hive-engine token that is pooling great traction in the last couple of months and its pools are paying out huge profits to Liquidity providers. That meant that if 400 HIVE were converted to ONEUP and split to provide liquidity for any desired pool, may be with PIZZA or SPT which are gaming tokens too, then, the bonus received over the 7 days period would be an added reward to the Rabona players.

Now watch this:

Take today, for instance,

• 400 HIVE = 14,000 ONEUP
• That split into two would mean 7,000 ONEUP and either 89,000 SPT or 6,000 PIZZA or 1,105 LEO
• Pooling 7,000 ONEUP with 89,000 SPT would attract a daily bonus of about 106 ONEUP daily and 746 ONEUP over 7 days
• Pooling 7,000 ONEUP with 1,105 LEO would attract a daily bonus of about 103 ONEUP daily and 722 ONEUP over 7 days
• Pooling 7,000 ONEUP with 6,000 PIZZA would attract a daily bonus of about 55 ONEUP daily and 385 ONEUP over 7 days in addition to PIZZA and other tokens.
• Assuming one of the pools are selected, then in 7 days 400 HIVE would have yielded, at best additional 746 ONEUP for players if shared using the same formula with HIVE would mean that I would earn additional 1.2 ONEUP or more as seasonal reward.

The above model would not just mean an additional reward to players but would also strengthen the bond between Rabona game and other gaming communities and tokens on hive-engine and that collaboration would be quite healthy and good for the future of the Rabona game.

Glad that already the Rabona team has been looking forward to overhaul/improving the reward system of the game. The suggestion above if considered could make a whole lot of sense and add value to the Rabona game economy.

We do have some HIVE in our piggybank wink But we are working on a complete overhaul of our rewards system so it should become much more stable then - @mciszczon.

Thanks to the Rabona team for an anticipated consideration to the above. Meanwhile, I finished the last season on the 5th spot with 54 points and 24 Goals difference. I'm looking forward to a better Season 63. It can only get better.
