Movies are influential instruments in the mentalities of people who are addicted to watching movies. We should not allow ourselves to be addicted to anything. A christian is supposed to be controlled by the words of Jesus Christ alone. We are not to be addicted to anything. Whether that thing has a bad effect or not. Reading the word of God is the only thing that should influence the mind of a christian. We are controlled by the Holy Spirit. Do not let yourself be so controlled by something that you cannot do without being engaged in them. Such a type of life is not good. You must learn to have self control. Self control is a virtue which we are taught in the church.

Watching movies is not a sin. A christian can watch movies. There are many movies which are produced by christians. Even the gospel can be preached these days through the medium of movies. We can send the message of the Lord Jesus Christ to the world through the movies. But we must be careful not to let our minds be polluted by corrupt movies. We should not just watch anything. It should only be movies that enhance our spiritual growth that we should watch.
