The name of this beautiful fun place, which I heard from my father and passed by a few times, is Historical Lovers Coffee

Think of a coffee where backgammon, cards are not played, it is forbidden to talk about politics, even if it is not spoken, there are plain and plain saz and folk songs.

Inside, there are various reeds hanging on the wall of the table, the one who buys the instrument sits on the edge of the table and starts hitting the string of the instrument, playing and singing at the same time.
Regardless of their profession, such as a taxi driver, security guard, bagel maker, etc., lovers come to their cafe, take a break, sing their songs in harmony.

When you enter through the door of the cafe, chairs that make you feel as if you are at a concert and the Atatürk picture on the wall, various newspaper clippings and instruments attract your attention.

Opened in the 1950s in a place that used to be a Nilüfer open-air cinema, this coffee shop opened by Aşık Mehmet from Erzurum is now run by his son. Aşık Mehmet, who saw that those who came to the cafe and asked about backgammon, games and politics, had an argument and hearts were broken at the end, crossed the wall and banned this tradition, this tradition still continues. You don't need to be a professional, you just need to know how to play the instrument, there are many people like me who only go to listen to folk songs.

It has become a place where Turkish folk music artists who come to Bursa to give a concert do not return without stopping by. **Every day, it was full of small coffee-goers, whose air was breathed by master artists such as Arif Sağ and Musa Eroğlu.

There is no concept of time in this cafe. A song pulled us in. While we were accompanying the folk songs, it had been almost an hour when we said a song or two. It was great to accompany the songs.

Since we went on 19 May, it was a public holiday. While we were sipping our coffee and listening to the folk songs, someone came and took the saz, he was working as a security guard in a bank, because it was a holiday, he heard the sound and wanted to come and play the saz. This is such an interesting place.

I always say that I am very lucky to live in Bursa. This is a city that satisfies my soul with every aspect. I don't know if there are coffee shops like this in other cities, but I think there should be more.

Kahvenin kapısından girdiğinizde yan yana sıralanmış sanki bir konserdeymişsiniz hissi uyandıran sandalyeler ve duvardaki Atatürk resmi, çeşitli gazete kupürleri ve sazlar dikkatinizi çeker.

1950 li yıllarda eskiden nilüfer açık hava sineması olan yerde Erzurumlu Aşık Mehmet'in açtığı bu kahveyi şuan oğlu işletiyor. Kahveye gelip tavla, oyun soran ve siyaset konusanların sonunda tartıştığını ve kalplerin kırıldığını gören Aşık Mehmet duvara sazını aşmış ve konuşmayı yasaklamiş bu gelenek halen devam ediyor konuşmak yok sadece türküler dile geliyor hep bir ağızdan. Profesyonel olmanıza gerek yok sadece saz çalmayı bilmeniz yeterli, benim gibi sadece türküleri dinlemeye gidenler çok fazla.

Bursa'ya konser vermeye gelen Türk halk müziği sanatçılarının uğramadan dönmedikleri bir yer haline gelmiş. **Arif Sağ, Musa Eroğlu gibi usta sanatçılarında zamanında havasını soludugu küçük kahve müdavimleri ile hergun dolup tasiyormus.

Bu kahvede zaman kavramı yok bizi bir türkü içeri çekti türkülere eşlik ederken bir- iki türkü derken neredeyse bir saat olmuştu. Türkülere eşlik etmek harikaydı.🥰

Biz 19 Mayıs günü gittiğimiz için resmi tatildi, içeride kahvemizi yudumlayıp türküleri dinlerken biri geldi aldı sazı eline bir bankada güvenlik görevlisi olarak çalışıyormuş, tatil olduğu için çarşıda gezerken sesi duyunca o da gelip saz çalmak istemiş. İşte böyle enteresan bir yer burası.

Hep derim Bursa'da yaşadığım için çok şanslıyım diye. Her yönü ile ruhumu doyuran bir şehir burası. Başka şehirlerde bu tarz kahveler varmı bilmiyorum ama yoksa bence olmalı kadın erkek herkesin rahatlıkla girip gönlündeki türküyü dile getirdiği sadece türkülerin söylendiği bu kahveler çoğalmalı..
