Splinterland Weekly Battle Challenge: The Spark Pixies Encounter

Wow, I almost miss this week splinterland weekly battle challenge, still yet to get my bearing this week and I don't really know why am always posting my entry late, better late than not posting. How are you all doing and coping with this national lockdown and no movement because of this pandemic virus spreading beyond our imagination, most are now isolated indoor, movement restricted because currently that is the best way to stop it from spreading. We all pray the cure should be available as soon as possible and the virus should be destroy so we all can be free to move and work again.

Back to splinterland weekly challenge, one thing I love about this challenge is that it really make me have access to different cards, most cards in my pack, I rarely use them but this is one way for me to make use of them once in a while. This week card is the Spark Pixies, I always saw this card anytime I check the market section but I don't have one, but since we are to use it, I had to get one and use it in the battle.

Formation

The battle was between me (@valchiz) and @laurys with two rules, the first was Back to Basics where all monster lost their abilities and the second which was keep your distance where we won't be using any melee attack in the battle, so we were left with range and magic attack with a 36 mana cap and we are to choose between the fire, life, death and dragon summoner.

Since it is the best man battle, I decided to use my dragon summoner Daria Dragonscale which was a level 4 and one of my best summoner so as to increase my card level since we aren't using any melee and no abilities. My strategy is to out magic cards first then range will follow.

Naga Fire Wizard lead the way, 8 mana cap magic card with 3 magic attack, 2 speed, 1 amour and 6 life in level 4, since no abilities, I had to use it so as to have great effect on the enemy cards.

Spirit Miner one of my favourite magic monster card, I love it because of the ability but this time around we aren't selecting because if it so I used it because of the 2 magic attack and the 3 speed. At least it will work well.

Ettin Spearman my ugly range monster card, one of the perfect range card with 4 range attack, 2 speed and 8 life, if you are battling with the fire summoner, you will surely enjoy using this card especially in an 8 mana cap battle

Spark Pixies which is the man of the battle, compulsory to use but if am to choose, I will rarely use it because of the 1 life, it can be a bonus card thou and it is a 4 mana card, but the speed which is 5 can make me select it most times

Fire spitter is a go go for me, as per it is a dragon range monster card, I do use it a lot anytime am using a dragon summoner

Imp bowman, I was left with 2 mana so I opt for imp to fill the space and do it work but it didn't really work though because mare looking at the formation and the opponent formation, you will know this is a killing battle, I actually lost 4 battles before I use this formation so I carefully select them

And it was a victory battle, most of my card didn't suffer any damage, only few and spark Pixies really did a great job because it attack other opponent monster card.
