Thief Don't Fear Anymore

Yesternight night was really a surprising night for me after relocating to a new place in Lagos, I couldn't how I used more than 3 weeks just to hunt for a good place after meeting different house agent who gave me rubbish place but I had to reject most of them until something lead to another and I got a new agent which later help me secure a place and after a while I moved in fully 2days ago. In our compound, we have 2 building, one at the back which is already completed and have 2 mini flat apartment which I occupied one but the second occupant is yet to take the second place and there is an ongoing building in front that contain 2 bedroom flat and 4 mini flat but within 1-2month, they should complete it but they are almost done.

so literally, I'm the only one staying in the whole compound, am I scared? not really. People actually ask me this question most of the time. I'm already use to staying alone in a whole compound, so it wasn't that new to me and I do lock my doors and windows, as long as I'm not expecting anyone around, even if you knock my door as an unwanted guest, I won't even move an inch talk less of opening my door. Unknowing to me, a day before I moved in, a thief came into the compound, entered into the new building to steal some wire cables but didn't know or catch him. So yesterday night, another scene happened again, they knew the thief might come back but they didn't take it serious and loose guard.

I slept around 1am yesterday night because as a night crawler, we don't sleep early, So I slept and something like 1-2hrs after the shout Thief! Thief!! Thief!!! woke me up, like thief ke, from where how, was the thought going through my mind immediately I woke, I had to quickly wear my trouser o because I can't step out the way I'm, apparently one of the worker stayed behind and he was hearing sound but thought it was from rat, but the sound felt like dragging which make it felt somehow and he saw someone so he was shouting to alert anyone around but no security came out, before I could step out, the thief jump from top to the ground floor then jump the fence before we could do anything.

He escaped but he didn't take anything yet no security came out just so we know we are secure on the strength. We hope we won't experience such again or they should just caught the person and give him the beating of his life.
