My Hive Business Card Design | HIVEPH

avatar

Hello Hive community, today I decided to participate in the contest promoted by @acidyo which is about creating a business card for the great @hiveph community. I'm not a professional designer but I really like to design and I think I do it well.

I made two designs because while I was making the first one I thought of making another one. I hope you like them, I made them with love and well... below I explain my creative process and how I did everything, so keep reading. 🤓

I decided to make the business cards in Canva which is the design app I use the most along with Picsart and Photoshop. I chose a super simple base business card, just to have the exact size of the card.

Regarding the aesthetics of the card, I wanted it to be minimalist because I feel that the best business cards are of that style. I chose to use the representative colors of Hive and the colors of the Philippine Flag to design the card in general.

I created the QR codes for free on the "qrmonkey" website. There I could not only create them, but also design them and they are ready to be used.

This QR code leads directly to the registration section of Hiveonboard.

As you can see, I decided to use the popular hexagons that simulate a honeycomb when they are together to be something like "the key point" of the cards.

At the moment of placing the QR code I didn't really know where to put it so I decided to experiment with another style and that's how the second business card was born.

Here I already started to make the second business card template, which I ended up choosing as the first one.

Then I created the second QR code with the Hive philippines logo provided by Dbuzz in the comments of the contest post.

This QR code is ready to use and goes directly to the Hive philippines Discord.

Here I was already creating the second side of the first business card. I chose to use the shape of the Philippine territory to identify that it is a personalized card for them.

Here I decided to change the colors of the hexagons on the second card to the colors of the Philippine flag and I placed the shape of their territory in the middle.

Although I chose a minimalist design, I feel that Filipinos are lively people so for the second side of the second card I decided to place free images from Canva to give it a more cheerful touch.

I placed the word "Mabuhay" which is a very nice Filipino greeting (it means long life) and a cute girl proudly holding her beautiful flag.

This is how my business cards ended looking on the front and back. I must say that I'm very satisfied with my designs, but I didn't want to leave it like that, so I decided to make some mockups to make them look more "professional".

I made the mockups in Photoshop using as a base an already created model that I downloaded for free from the freepik page. I only took care of retouching everything.

This is the final result.

I really enjoyed creating these business cards, I had a lot of fun and as I mentioned before I really liked how everything turned out. I hope my dear hivers from the Philippines will also like them.

Greetings to all and thanks for reading me. 🤓🌻
