The coffee volcano πŸŒ‹

In the small island of Beanwaii the locals enjoyed in their daily life a coffee with a very special, almost magical flavor, the tourists who visited the island were fascinated with the coffee and always asked for the secret as well as to take some with them. The residents were protective of their coffee so they never tell what the mystery ingredient was, but they would gladly give them some for them to take away.

If you think about it, it's not easy to say that the secret of their coffee was that they harvested the beans from the dormant volcano on the island called Tolcoffee. From the curious volcano sprouted around plants with coffee seeds that the natives collected discreetly as no one else had access to the volcano, only them.

One night, the eldest elder of the island who was respected for her wisdom, had a dream, a haunting dream that she said was an omen that a disaster would occur and so it did, as in the afternoon of the next day the dormant Tolcoffe volcano began to awaken leaving the locals surprised and worried.

All day long there was concern, the locals were wondering what would happen, would the eruption of the coffee volcano release coffee or lava?, would the coffee be hot?, would it burn them?, would the island be flooded?, all these questions were on the minds of the locals and could be heard in the streets. Three days passed in complete uncertainty until the Tolcoffee volcano finally erupted.

The locals watched in fear how spurts of coffee came out of the volcano, the coffee was probably hot because they could see smoke coming out of it as well. Horrified and afraid of being burned, most of the locals started to run, but some of them were thinking of a solution. "If you observe well it is not much coffee that comes out of the volcano and it is coming out slowly, it may damage and we may lose some things but I don't think we will be flooded, if the coffee is not very hot, how about if we try to drink it together?" said Hakin, one of the entrepreneurs of the island. "That sounds like a crazy idea" replied Akina, his girlfriend, "but it might work".

Several residents gathered to listen to the idea and began to look for large containers, bottles, totes and others to fill them with the liquid coffee that the volcano spewed out, others began to drink from it as well but of course, everything couldn't be that easy, it was coffee after all, we already know what excessive amounts of caffeine can do to the body.

The island' residents began to get shaky, hyperactive, of course, what did they expect? saving coffee was one thing, but drinking large quantities? what were they thinking?, Hakin, seeing the situation, told them all to stop and not to drink more coffee and just store it and luckily for them, the volcano gradually stopped erupting, leaving damage but a lot of coffee and fortunately no one was hurt, they just felt a little nuts.

"What are we going to do with all this coffee?" asked Akina, "sell it" replied Hakin, "the coffee tastes even better than the one that sprouts from the plants, by selling it we can earn enough money to repair the damage created by the volcano" and so it was. The locals were able to sell all the coffee collected to the tourists, they even transported it in ships to other places, earning more money than they expected and not only were they able to repair the damage but they also improved several of their buildings. It is curious that sometimes what begins as a disaster can also be a blessing.

Hi there, @valeriavalentina. πŸ˜ƒ Your story is interesting and I like how it ends.

Trust an entrepreneur to come up with a solution that brings money. πŸ˜ƒ Hakin gives a smart idea and it turned the island of Beanwaii around. Nice story. Good luck 😊😊

Hello, I really enjoyed reading your story where you highlight values that many have forgotten, such as the wisdom of the elderly. I imagine that the magic of coffee once again played its part in this narrative, transforming an impending natural disaster into a blessing that the natives will treasure forever as a gift from mother earth. I hope you enjoy a good cup of coffee this afternoon. A big hug.

Hi there friend, I'm glad you liked my story! 😊
It is true that nowadays the wisdom of the elders is not taken into account so much, but there are still people who know that this millenary knowledge is important πŸ™Œ. The magic of coffee also played its role of course and also the locals had the ability to know how to turn a negative situation into a positive one, a very valuable quality.
Greetings and thanks for commenting! πŸ€“

That would be amazing if something like that actually happened. A good way to store a lot of coffee in that situation would be to turn it into instant coffee, since instant coffee is made from pre-brewed coffee that is dried into coffee crystals.

It would be a historic event if something like this happened, hard to forget! πŸ˜† and hey, what a good idea!, it didn't come to my mind when I was writing, no doubt turning the liquid coffee into instant coffee and then selling it would be very beneficial for the islanders 😎.

I loved the story, the description of a volcano erupting coffee is very creative. And wow, some people are lucky and know how to take advantage of situations that appear to be bad. I'm intrigued by how aromatic and delicious the coffee in your story will taste πŸ˜….

No doubt turning a bad situation into a positive one is a quality that not everyone has πŸ€”, good for them! and in my mind the coffee must be something like an aphrodisiac of how good it must taste! 🀭

Aww, if this becomes a reality, probably I would soak myself in the coffee volcano as my soul becomes intensely caffeinated. What a beautiful story that a disaster has turned into a great blessing in form of coffee. Very creative and smart imagination, my friend. This is great.
