🪄 Recomendación Wistoria: Wand and Sword 🗡️ [Eng/Esp]

I hope you’re all doing well. These past few days in my country have been pretty tough and hectic, and between keeping up with the news, going to relief centers, and taking care of myself, my mornings in particular have been pretty busy. And sometimes you just need to clear your head for a moment to calm down, so lately I’ve been watching an anime at night called Wistoria: Wand and Sword.
In this anime, the world is completely dominated by magic; the vast majority of people can use it, and those who can’t are simply excluded. Of course, the protagonist falls into the latter category: Will Serfort. Will is a boy who can’t cast even the simplest spell; the craziest part is that his dream is to become a Magia Vander (the highest rank a wizard can aspire to, and those who use their magic to maintain the “false sky”).
To achieve this, Will attends the Regarden Magic Academy, where everyone except him is a magician. And despite all the years Will has spent at the academy, he has never been able to cast a single spell; despite this, Will possesses monstrous, superhuman physical abilities and a level of swordsmanship capable of cutting through any spell.
Will’s inexplicable abilities, coupled with his fervent desire to become a Vander mage, shake the very foundations of the world of Wistoria and of the Mercedes Caulis, the tower where the world’s most important mages reside.
This is an anime featuring magical battles, action, and drama. Will is a strong and resilient protagonist who wants to become a Magia Vander so he can be with his childhood friend, Elfaria Alvis—the youngest Magia Vander—even though obstacles are constantly thrown in his path. But he’ll soon realize that his destiny lies elsewhere and that his birth was nothing more than 500 years of preparation for war.
I’ve really enjoyed the battles I’ve seen so far—some in dungeons against members of the demonic race and others against members of the Goetia organization—which are quite fast-paced and strategic. As a result, the combat is explosive and dynamic, and it’s common to see colorful explosions or lightning-fast sword fights.
Although Wistoria seems like a peaceful world, the reality is that it faces a constant threat from the “celestial invaders”—an invading race that destroys kingdoms—who were sealed behind a “false sky” created by the Sorceress Queen Mercedes and the first Magia Vander. These invaders are the reason why other races, such as dwarves and elves, exist in Wistoria—they migrated there to survive the Celestials. The main villain is Baal, a powerful entity linked to Will’s birth.
The plot moves along at a fairly brisk pace, and the secrets surrounding such enigmatic characters as Will are gradually revealed, partly due to the inevitable war prophesied centuries ago. However, there is still a great deal of mystery that remains unclear in the anime – which has two series so far – and in the manga, meaning that the mystery behind Will’s existence and the constant threat posed by the Celestials is still not fully understood.
That said, I find it a very entertaining and easy-to-watch anime; the plot doesn’t drag, the fight scenes are visually striking and the characters are very diverse, so I think it’s a good anime for a bit of light-hearted entertainment.

Espero que se encuentren bien. Estos últimos días en mi país han sido bastante duros y agitados y, entre estar pendientes de las noticias, ir a los centros de acopio y encargarse de uno mismo, han mantenido sobre todo mis mañanas ocupadas. Y a veces uno necesita despejarse un momento para calmarse, por lo que últimamente en las noches me he puesto a ver un anime llamado: Wistoria: Wand and Sword
En este anime, el mundo se encuentra totalmente dominado por la magia, donde la gran mayoría puede hacerla y quienes no, son simplemente excluidos. Por supuesto, el protagonista presenta este último caso, Will Serfort. Will es un chico que no puede hacer ni el más simple hechizo; lo más loco es que su sueño es convertirse en un Magia Vander (el nivel más alto al que se aspira como mago y quienes mantienen con su magia el “falso cielo”).
Para lograrlo, Will asiste a la Academia Mágica Regarden, donde todos son magos excepto él. Y a pesar de todos los años que Will pasó en la academia, jamás pudo hacer un solo hechizo; a pesar de esto, Will posee una monstruosa habilidad física sobrehumana y un nivel de manejo de la espada capaz de cortar cualquier hechizo.
Las habilidades inexplicables de Will, además de su ferviente deseo de ser mago vander, hacen temblar los cimientos del mundo de Wistoria y de la Mercedes Caulis, la torre donde residen los magos más importantes del mundo.
Este es un anime de batallas mágicas, acción y drama. Will es un protagonista fuerte y resiliente que desea ser Magia Vander para estar junto a su amiga de la infancia, Elfaria Alvis, la más joven Magia Vander, aunque continuamente le pongan trabas en el camino. Pero pronto se dará cuenta de que su destino es otro y que su nacimiento no es más que 500 años de preparación para la guerra.
Las batallas que vi hasta ahora me han gustado bastante, algunas en las mazmorras contra miembros de la raza demoníaca y otras con miembros de la organización Goetia, siendo bastante móviles y estratégicas. Por lo que los combates son bastante explosivos y dinámicos, siendo normal ver explosiones de colores o peleas con espadas muy rápidas.
Aunque Wistoria parece un mundo tranquilo, la realidad es que se encuentran en constante amenaza por los “invasores celestiales”, una raza invasora y destructora de reinos, quienes fueron sellados detrás de un “falso cielo” creado por la Reina Maga Mercedes y los primeros Magia Vander. Estos invasores son la razón por la que en Wistoria hay otras razas como enanos y elfos, pues estos migraron a Wistoria para sobrevivir a los celestiales. Siendo el villano principal Baal, una poderosa entidad ligada al nacimiento de Will.
La trama avanza bastante rápido y los secretos que rondan a personajes tan misteriosos como Will se van desvelando poco a poco, en parte por la inevitable guerra profetizada siglos atrás. Aunque todavía hay mucho misterio que todavía no queda muy claro en el anime, que tiene hasta ahora dos temporadas, y en el manga, por lo que el misterio detrás de la existencia de Will y la amenaza constante de los celestiales todavía no está claro.
Con esto, me parece un anime muy entretenido y fácil de ver; la trama no va lenta, las peleas son visualmente llamativas y los personajes son muy variados, por lo que me parece un buen anime para distraerse un rato.

Este es de mis animes de fantasía favoritos de estos últimos años, la verdad. Tanto su historia como sus personajes me fascinan bastante, sobre todo Elfaria. La animación tampoco está mal, es más, su segunda temporada está muchísimo mejor que la primera.
