Giving is a law of Jesus Christ, if we believe we are a Christian, we are bound by the law to give , giving shouldn't be only be among our fellow believers , friends of family, but everyone , people we know and people we don't know, we should also give to our enemies.

Love your neighbors and be good to them, it's our obligation as Christians, the isrealites , in the old testament also had an obligation to give, we should help without asking for a demand.
