The Future of Employment: Can Remote and Physical Jobs Coexist?

As more people begin to discover and realize the financial comfort and personal benefits of working from home, the chase for a remote job has begun to increase rapidly, remote workers can save a lot of funds they would have spent on clothing, transportation, feeding and even the extra hours at their workplace, and that's because they can work at the comfort of their home. For employees, they can now manage expenses on facilities and day to day expenses at the office, it's beneficial to both the workers and employees, and this is why there is a concern if the traditional (office)work will be affected by these changes, and more people will embrace remote jobs as time goes on, well I don't think it will, because there are many other jobs that require a physical presence.

I believe remote jobs will affect how offices run instead, that's because employees will examine duties that can be carried out at home and those that require physical presence, they may no longer need large offices, because most employees will be meeting up to office standards in their various homes. Offices now might require smaller space for meetings with staff, signing collaboration deals , training of staff , or those employees whose job in the office requires a physical presence. Also, this enhances hybrid jobs, that's because employees might need to report to the office most times too, not only at home.

For employees, remote jobs can require much flexibility and that's what I love the most about working remotely. Someone can work at a company in a different city or even country at the comfort of their home and still earn a good amount of money.
Remote jobs also make it easier for parents to bond with their family members and still execute their tasks at work and, for the company, hiring remote workers, give them more access to many employees and not restrict them to only those around their environment.

Like I stated at the beginning of this post, it's not possible for remote jobs to replace office work, and that's because there are many professions that require physical workers, and these positions can't be performed perfectly from home. Let's consider professions like doctors, nurses, teachers, construction workers, farmers, mechanics, security personnel, factory workers, cleaners, hospitality workers, drivers, and countless professionals that need physical present to be effective and for them to perform effectively. And these are professions that people need daily, for instance, there's always a need for health care, transportation requires a physical driver, food, to acquire education, we need physical teachers, security can only be done physically and many more that can never be done remotely.

I understand there might be a higher demand for remote jobs, it could affect the demand for physical jobs, but I believe they are people who are willing to work in offices. Jobs that require a physical presence will be on demand too, and people will adapt to the cost of transportation and every other expense that comes with working from an office.

To many people, corporate/office jobs provide an opportunity for them to interact and build relationships with other employees, it gives them an opportunity to learn and unlearn , and exchange productive ideas. I understand technology can bridge this gap, but it's easier to connect with fellow employees when you work in a physical space.

I don't believe that remote jobs will replace traditional employment in any way, or even be the end of it. They will only coexist and even create more job opportunities, create flexibility in our workplace and physical work will continue to create and provide the essential services that society cannot function without.
