5 Minute Freewrite - Bone Tired

Doing a challenge on 5 minute Freewrite, please see below for my story:

Emma was bone tired. Her day started at 6 a.m. when her alarm went off, and it was now almost midnight. She had spent the entire day running errands, taking care of her sick mother, and working her part-time job at the grocery store.

As she lay in bed, she couldn't help but feel like she was carrying the weight of the world on her shoulders. She was exhausted physically, mentally, and emotionally.

Just as she was about to close her eyes and drift off to sleep, her phone rang. It was her best friend, Sarah.

"Hey Emma, I just got off work and I was wondering if you want to grab a drink," Sarah said.

Emma hesitated for a moment. All she wanted to do was sleep, but she also didn't want to disappoint her friend.

"Sorry Sarah, I'm bone tired tonight. Can we raincheck?" Emma replied.

"Of course, no problem. Get some rest, and we'll catch up soon," Sarah said before hanging up.

Emma breathed a sigh of relief and closed her eyes, feeling grateful for a friend who understood her exhaustion. She knew that tomorrow would be another long day, but for now, she could finally rest.

This is SO relatable! Friends who appreciate and understand us enough to know when to just let us rest and recuperate are priceless!

I never would have thought to do this sort of freewriting. Do you have a place where you get prompts from?

Yes I do. Go to Freewriters community in Hive! There are 50 words or 240 character challenges, 5 minutes free write and also a picture say a thousand words.

I've been in that situation in the story, many times! Good writing, and a really perfect pic to go with it! 😂
