5 Minute Freewrite - Screaming Nerves

Today is a bad day for Rick, due to the economic downturn, he is being laid off by his company.

This spells trouble for him. He is the sole breadwinner for his family, with mortgage and car loan upon him too. He packed his belongings and headed home.

When he reached home, his daughter run up to him and said, "Daddy, tuition teacher reminded me today that the tuition fees are due."

Then he sat at the sofa and saw a couple of letters. He opened them up - utility bills, credit card bills and insurance premiums.

An hour later, his wife came home and said, "Hubby, it's my daddy's birthday next week, we need to get him a gift."

Rick screamed nerves and broke into tears, "Bills, fees and now a birthday gift. Not forgetting the various loans. Where to find the money? Give me a break!"

He did not know what to do and stormed out of the house...
