dCity Progress Update #1

Introduction
At the start of the year, I have shared about my decision to kickstart in dCity. Since then, I have grown significantly in SIM Power while keeping to a very lean city. So today I would like to bring an update and share on what had went on since the last post.

What is dCity?
The game is a city simulator game based on Hive NFTs where one can create a city the way we want it to be. As players develop and grow their cities, optimization is needed in terms of buildings, city population, the income that the city yields and technological developments. While many aspects of the game can be calculated based on the simulator within the game, there is a portion of randomness in the form of crisis event which can bring different kind of impact to city which affects income or popularity. If you like the original SimCity, I am sure you will like this.

My City
The below screenshot is how my city looks like at this moment. While I only have 7 bubbles for my city, growth is still happening in my city.

Growth? Are You Kidding Me?
Yes indeed there is growth even with such a lean city and I am not kidding. This is all thanks to @ryosai whom had been really kind and generous in sharing me his strategy in city building. So the key here is to always be afloat and ensure positive income and enough to be within the top 400 players in the game. If I am able to do so, I qualify for a daily claim of Young Citizen NFT from the dCity discord. And this Young Citizen NFT can be sold in the range of 800-900 SIM when listed.

And because of this, the current amount of SIM I am holding has reached 79,291 SIM. This amount of SIM tokens can be either re-invested to grow the city more or simply just hold on to them.

Why Hold SIM?
Holding SIM (or commonly known as SIM Power) brings about daily liquid hive if one having above 8000 SIM Power. SIM Power is calculated by the from the 30 days average SIM holdings.

While I already accumulated about 79k Sim tokens in my Hive Engine, my 30 day average hasn't hit this figure but I am getting a rather decent amount of liquid Hive per day due to this holdings as seen below:

Assuming no increase in Sim Power, I will get 0.39 liquid Hive per month. But if we are active and work well on the city development, SIM Power should increase progressively. Once built up, it can become a very strong passive while we enjoy the game and develop our cities.

Upcoming Plans
The first thing I would need to do is to hiring tax refundable citizens to fill up the hiring. There I will want to start monitoring the rates of the such citizens. If you have any cards such as Economist or Eco Activist for sale, do let me know via comments and I will link up with you.

Closing
I am very shocked by how much SIM Power I've managed to grow in such a short duration and the liquid hive dropped daily is really awesome. I will continue to work on growing my city. Hopefully by next update, there will be more exciting elements being added to my city.
