dCity Progress Update #5

Introduction
Good day to everyone, almost a week had passed in the city and it's time to update the progress of my city and see how much it grown. In this week, we welcome a few more additions to the city which made the city much more lively.

What is dCity?
The game is a city simulator game based on Hive NFTs where one can create a city the way we want it to be. As players develop and grow their cities, optimization is needed in terms of buildings, city population, the income that the city yields and technological developments. While many aspects of the game can be calculated based on the simulator within the game, there is a portion of randomness in the form of crisis event which can bring different kind of impact to city which affects income or popularity. If you like the original SimCity, I am sure you will like this.

My City
The below screenshot is how my city looks like at this moment. From 9 bubbles, the city has progressed into 11 bubbles and one of it even grew in size. In this, I had to dig deep into my pocket to part with some of my SIM to make this happen. So far no new conversion of young citizen to student. I am still looking forward to them becoming another useful citizen in the city.

Why Sudden Growth
During one days when I was attempting to claim my daily young citizen, I was in shock as I saw this:

This is a wake up call to not rest on my laurels because being top 400 today does not mean being top 400 forever. The city has to grow and not be stagnant. The bar will keep shifting and we need to find ways to improve the income. To improve income it is not just trying to grow by having more working citizens and building NFT. It is more than that where one has to grow the income and at the same time find cards that carry tax refund in order to boost the income proper. So with this, I have added some Economist, Eco-Activist, Soldier and Police to my city and these are cards that carry tax refund. And with this, I've managed to move myself back into top 400 to claim the young citizen.

Current SIM Holdings
At the moment of writing, the current amount of SIM I am holding has reached 95,605 SIM. Initially, I have already gathered up to 100+k SIM but recently dropped in view of the purchases I've made recently.

Why Hold SIM?
This is reminder to all that holding SIM (or commonly known as SIM Power) brings about daily liquid hive if one having above 8000 SIM Power. SIM Power is calculated by the from the 30 days average SIM holdings.

Accumulated reduced to 95.6k Sim tokens in my Hive Engine, my 30 day average is will likely see a few days of Sim Power plateauing. Amount of liquid Hive per day based on this holdings as seen below:

Assuming no increase in Sim Power, I will get 0.54 liquid Hive per month. No increase in passive values for this week because of SIM power reduction from purchases. With my daily Sim income increasing, I do hope this value will continue to grow in days to come, which can be really useful to even fund the Hive Power Up Day. While the number is small, it is still rather significant and will become even more significant with days to come.

Closing
City growth is very important in the game. Will continue to build it up make it prosper! There are so many variant of cards available in the game, so much more to explore, simulate and find more ways to increase income.
