Prelude
Hello everybody, it's time again for Share Your Battle. I did not manage to do a sharing on Venari Spellsmith but instead with a few death splinter focus that happened during the week, I will be doing the battle sharing this week on a fellow cousin of the Venari Spellsmith, the Venari Bonesmith

Thoughts on Venari Bonsmith

Can't really find something that truly matches it. But the closest that we can get will be in some form of a bone shaman that always holds a skull like how the art of the Venari Bonesmith is like.

For a bone shaman, it should be able to tap into dark arts and sap out life from the dead and make good use out of it.

Without further a do, let's get started with this week's sharing.
Let's look at the Level 1 base stats for Venari Bonesmith:

ManaAttackHealthSpeedArmourAbility
41 (Magic)32NALife Leech

Bronze League - +1 Speed
Silver League - +1 Heal, Poison
Gold League - +1 Magic Attack
Beyond Gold - +1 Health, Dispel

What does Venari Bonesmith looking on growth?
As it levels up, we see a general stats improvement alongside 2 deadly ability gained, namely poison and dispel.

Poison application, makes pesky big units wean down by 2 health each round and dispel takes out good buffs that are being applied to opponent lineup.

Alrite, let's see start the battle sharing.

  • Position 2 - Grumpy Dwarf
  • Position 3 - Medusa
  • Position 4 - Eleven Cutthroat
  • Position 5 - Uraeus
  • Position 6 - Crustacean King

Prediction before pressing rumble
Very shiny lineup my opponent used. Not sure why Alric was chosen, but the lineup itself is rather scary, it has healer, sneaker, thorns and stun.

Let's get ready to rumble
Round 1, Xenith Monk taking plenty of damage and getting stunned by Medusa, thereby unable to heal himself during next turn.

Round 2, 1 for 1, both tanks being taken out and my Uraeus being taken out as well. But do note, Bonesmith and Life Sapper are getting meatier as well.

Round 3, In this round, Grump Dwarf dies along with my backline triage Spirit Hoarder.

Round 4, Everything survived on my end, Medusa taken out. Looks like tides are changing.

Round 5 and 6, we pick up the scraps as the 3 magic creatures did their work and secured our victory!

After Thoughts
A real interesting battle that we've just seen.

A fully well thought lineup from my opponent consisting of various disablers with sneakers to take out my backline and also a tank heal to ensure Spineback Turtle survives at the front.

How did Venari Bonesmith did in this battle? Together with its twin the Life Sapper, the double life leech slowly build themselves up over the course of the battle, getting meatier by the turn. In the case of little league, because the mana cap of monsters able to participate is at 4, we will not have big tanks to field the front for the backline.

So in this case, Life Leech on Venari Bonesmith become an important ability. While there is Xenith Monk with healing to hold the front, the continuous growth in health will make Venari Bonesmith the next tank upon Xenith Monk gets taken out and subsequently so for Life Sapper as well.

Did my strategy worked? I am sure it did, especially when I saw Xenith Monk gotten stunned which essentially meant it become a sitting duck against opponent lineup and cannot heal. The next in line tank creation have proven effective and allowed us to have a new tank to hold up while backline continued its rampage.

Will I choose such lineup again? Yes, especially for little league when tank options are limited and life leech is so effective.
