Organised by @derangedvisions what a great idea.
2021 for me has been a roller-coaster like I'm sure it has been for everyone out there. In and out of lock downs, shortage of toilet paper wow what a time to be alive haha.
2021 I reached some major milestones which I will share in this post... Alot of travels and alot of navigating my small screen printing business through the covid chaos. As well as some major house renovations. Here are some of my favourite photos and memories from 2021 - what a year!!
We started off the year in Darwin. This place has some breathtaking sunsets and the pool at the Darwin Casino is an awesome place to watch the sun go down.
Then headed to Kakadu in the Northern Territory. My good mate lives and works in Cooinda which is smack bang in the middle of Kakadu. It was alot of fun exploring the national park. My favourite spot was Nourlangie rock. Another great spot to relax with a beer and watch the sun set.
We got super close to giant jumping saltwater crocodiles on the Adelaide River in Darwin. This was very interesting and scary haha. These crocs are straight killers and being this close to one in the wild is a memory I will never forget.
We entered the cage of death! At Crocosaurus Cove in Darwin and swam with this huge Saltwater Croc π± To be in the water with a salty next to you is an amazing experience and not dying is definitely a plus.
My screen printing business has done exceptionally well this year, so the majority of my year was spent in my shed printing tshirts. I work from home so there is no escape from the daily work grind.
The only escape from work is to go on bush walks or book in holidays so I can get out of the house.
Bush walks are always great when there is a creek
Stradbroke Island is a must visit every year as it is only 45 minutes from Brisbane and is one of my favourite places in the world to relax. It is such a beautiful island β€οΈ Full of wildlife and amazing beaches.
In May I turned 40ππ I had a party which was just as the restrictions eased and we could have people at our house again. It was a great night so many laughs with good matesπ
I wanted to tick off a bucket list and go cage diving with a great white shark at the Neptune Islands in South Australia for my birthday.
I rounded up a group of friends from around Australia and we all met up in Port Lincoln to see a great white shark in the wild.
Unfortunately after 2 days of trying our luck, no sharks came to say hello π so we made a pact that we will be back!
Later that month I celebrated our 5 year anniversary with @terrybogan at the Great Barrier reef in Cairns. We went out on an over night live aboard dive boat. It was the perfect way to spend our anniversary π Snorkelling around and exploring the coral and sea life.
Two weeks later we found ourselves back at the Neptune Islands chasing a great white shark and this time it was a success!! We got to see 3 great whites.
Wow what an experience! It was so crazy to be this close to a great white shark and live to tell the tail.
The next day we went snorkelling with Australian sea lions. This was so much fun!
The day before we saw great whites then the next day we swam with thier lunch haha. These guys were so playful.
My best mate Zeus turned 14 which is a huge milestone. He is my 2IC at work and has been by my side since I got him. So much love for this guyπ
We welcomed a new VC Clothing team rider to our team. Adam Davidson!! Man this guy is a beast on the blades! Here are some shots I took of him at Beenleigh skate park boosting some big flips.
In October we visited the magical Magnetic Island of the coast of Townsville. Wow this island is beautiful. Amazing wildlife and landscapesβ€οΈ
You could hand feed these rock wallabies, it was definitely a highlight of Magnetic Island.
There is so many koalas on this island. Every walking trail we went on we saw a koalaππ¨
We also announced some amazing news here.....
I'm going to be a dad wooohooo!!! Haha
Then for @terrybogan birthday we went to Norfolk Island for a week. We were the youngest tourists on the island so we pretty much had the place to ourselves to explore. Highlights definitely are the Crystal pool.
This rock pool is a bit of a trek down the mountain with ropes then some rock hopping to get to this beautiful rock pool. Just make sure you go at low tide, cause the waves will wash you out to sea any other time.
The bronze whaler sharks at the peir. Where I sticky taped my YI action camera to a broom handle and hung off the edge of the peir to get some shots of these sharks π
And the stunning sunsets at Ansen Bay. This is the perfect way to end each day watching the sun set over the ocean. The best part is no one else is there so we got to share each sunset by ourselves.
Wow what an eventful year it has been! So good to look back on π Alot of good times and memories have been made! And we sure did make the most of it, before our lives will change with our little one due in April π
I shot these photos on my Sony a7iii, huawei p20 phone and my YI action camera. I realy enjoy photography and always learning, it's a great hobby π
I just picked up a camper van for our Christmas and New years adventure so let the good times rollπ€

So many awesome photos. Those crocodile shots are epic. I have been looking at getting into screenprinting as well. I have been thinking about doing it for a few years now, but have just never bought the stuff to do it
Cheers mate, getting that close to a crocodile is pretty crazy haha.

Thank you π was a lot of fun getting close to these wild animals

Cheers mateπ happy new year 2022 ππ
Awesome recap of your year! Now i want to visit Australia to π
Cheers mate,
You should definitely add Australia to your list!! it's a very big beautiful island to explore!
I am impressed how Australia's lifestyle is similar to ours in Brazil. Each with its own peculiarities. Skate, Surf, Skates, Beach, Seafood. I really enjoyed following the new content, here we have no crocodile, but there is alligator. We don't have a kangaroo, but we have a jaguar. hahaha Kidding aside, your content is too cool!
