It was one-sided

"I'm going to ask him out on a date", the room became really silent as Mary walked up to the door giving her friends Julia and Bestlyn no room to interject or even to suggest an alternative.

She has always been like that always doing whatever she likes whenever she wants with no thought for what the consequences would be. I guess because her parents were rich and since kindergarten she had always gotten whatever she wanted.

The new kid Billy who just got relocated from chicago caught her attention because what the hell he is hottttttt.
Julia and Bestlyn knew better than to challenge the most beautiful and powerful student in westham high school, who also happen to be their bestfriend. But most times especially times like this they looked more like sidekicks than friends. One major reason, a friend would convince Mary that asking a guy out isn't really a good idea no matter how much you like him.

Don't sit there looking ladies, lets head to the field, i heard Billy will be playing his first soccer game today, mary said as she exited the room which happened to be there convening spot whenever they had something personal to discuss.

I heard you have to be in the team for two months with a hundred percent attendance in training before the coach would allow you play a game and even at that, the new comer will have to only play when the team is winning, Bestlyn said. "So, Billy just joined the team three weeks ago, how come he is already playing his first game?" She added

"I guess Mary had a hand in that too", Juila remarked.Mary, did you by chance meet the coach to give Billy a shot? Julia asked

What if he doesn't reciprocate your feelings, what are you gonna do? Bestlyn aksed.

At this juncture, you guys are really going to kill me with questions, Mary attacked with her hands running down her hair in disgust.
"I am Mary Delgado, i get what i want, when i want, how i want it and anytime i want it" she added as she continued her walk to the field.

"Is she walking in a slow motion?" Julia asked.
"I thought i was the only one seeing that, Bestlyn responded. It looks like we can't stop her, you know how she is when her mind is made up.

AFTER THE SOCCER MATCH

Woww, it seemed if Billy had remained on the bench today we could have lost this match, Bestlyn said.

You know when great people like me have a gut feeling about someone or anything, we are usually correct about it. I had a feeling that as much as he was hot in appearance, he would be a better addition to our team, mary bragged.
Now all i have to do is go ask him out now he is clearly in a high spirit, she added as she stood up from her spot walking towards the team as they were celebrating their victory against stocks high school, it was a 3-1 victory with Billy scoring a goal and assisting the other two.

As Mary walked up to the celebration arena, It seemed everyone noticed her presence and paused. Billy turned around when he noticed everyone had stopped celebrating, immediately he sighted Bestlyn.

She had caught his attention from the first day he walked into the school. Besltyn may have noticed it but will certainly have to keep it from her best friend Mary just to protect the friendship.

Billy quickly walked past Mary, and walked upto Bestlyn stretching his hand for a handshake, "my name is Billy, I'm the new kid here and ehmm, can i ask you out on a date? Billy asked.

All eyes on the two and for the first time in a million years no one paid attention to the almighty Mary Delgado. She just stood there feeling betrayed by her best friend and she hurriedly ran out of the field.

Billy's hand still hanging, with smiles on his face. His red lips were really welcoming with the dimples on his cheeks.
Ehmm, I'm sorry but i already have someone I'm interested in, she said as she walked out of the field too.

What would happen next?
Will Mary and Bestlyn ever be friends again?
Was Bestlyn lying when she said she had a guy she liked?
