Cream of potato, leek and pear soup || Crema de papa, puerro y pera

I greet you, wishing you wellness and fulfillment.

Today I want to share with you a very light cream that I have just enjoyed and it has been like a caress for my stomach and my taste buds.

I was looking for alternatives to prepare a different cream that would inspire me to go to the kitchen, enjoy with its consumption and share it.

Hoy quiero compartirles una cremita muy ligera que acabo de disfrutar y ha sido como una caricia para mi estómago y mis papilas gustativas.

Estuve buscando alternativas para preparar una crema diferente que me inspirara a ir a la cocina, disfrutar con su consumo y además de eso compartirla.

I was a little discouraged because yesterday I had a visit to the dentist and I came home with one less tooth. I have to take good care of myself for a quick healing.

I made this recipe to pamper myself a little, it is a little cream that for me is unique and special because it contains pear, so it has a slight sweet touch, very faint, which I particularly love.

It is a cream based on potatoes and leeks with a nice touch of pear that I am sure will catch the attention of more than one and will be a good option for those who have children to offer them different ways to eat more vegetables and vegetables by giving them the magic touch that a fruit like pear can offer.

La verdad estaba un poco desalentada porque ayer tuve una visita al odontólogo y llegué a casa con una muela menos. Debo cuidarme bien para una rápida cicatrización.

Hice esta receta para consentirme un poco, es una cremita que para mí es única y especial ya que lleva pera, por lo tanto tiene un ligero toque dulce, muy tenue, que en lo particular me encanta.

Es una crema a base de papas y puerros con un buen toque de pera que estoy segura llamará la atención de más de uno y será una buena opción para que quienes tienen niños le puedan ofrecer maneras distintas de comer más verduras y vegetales al darles el toque mágico que una fruta como la pera puede ofrecer.

Ingredients // Ingredientes:

  • 1 leek stalk.
  • 2 Potatoes.
  • 2 pears.
  • Salt to taste.
  • Ground nutmeg to taste.
  • 1 dash of oil.
  • 3 cups of water.
  • 1 Tallo de puerro.
  • 2 Papas.
  • 2 Peras.
  • Sal al gusto.
  • Nuez moscada molida al gusto.
  • 1 Chorrito de aceite.
  • 3 Tazas de agua.

Preparation // Preparación:

I took the leek stalk and made a vertical cut to wash it and remove the soil. Then I cut it into small pieces.

Tome el tallo del puerro y le hice un corte vertical para lavarlo y quitarle la tierra. Luego lo corté en trozos pequeños.

I peeled the potatoes and washed them. I sautéed the leek stirring constantly and when it started to give off its aroma I added the potatoes, stirred and then added the water.

If you have any vegetable broth that you prefer to use instead of just water, I think it would be great.

Pelé las papas y las lavé. Puse a sofreír el puerro removiendo constantemente y cuando comenzó a desprender su aroma agregué la papas, removí y luego agregué el agua.

Si tienen algún caldo de verduras que prefieran usar en lugar de solo agua, creo que estaría genial.

While the potatoes were boiling with the leek, I peeled the pears and cut them into pieces. When the potatoes softened, I added the pear pieces and let them cook a little more over low heat with the pot covered, 5 more minutes.

Mientras las papas hervían con el puerro, pelé las peras y las corté en trozos. Cuando las papas se ablandaron, agregué los trozos de pera y dejé cocinar un poco más a fuego bajo con la olla tapada, 5 minutos más.

When it was ready, I let it sit for a few minutes to warm up and then blended everything with the pinch of nutmeg.

Cuando estuvo listo, dejé reposar unos minutos para entibiar y luego licué todo con la pizca de nuez moscada.

And well, that's how my special creme brulee for today was ready. If you dare to prepare it, I advise you to blend the pieces of potato and leek a little at a time with all the pear so that you can decide the flavor.

I served mine with a few bits of roasted pear and some cracked walnuts on top, I wanted to munch on something 🤭. Other than that, they suit it very well and a lot more roasted pear would have been great, for the next one it will be 😉.

Y bueno, así estuvo lista mi cremita especial de hoy. Si se animan a prepararla, les aconsejo vayan licuando los trozos de papa y el puerro de a poco junto a toda la pera para que vayan decidiendo el sabor.

Serví la mía con unos trocitos de pera asada y un poco de nueces partidas por encima, quería masticar algo 🤭. Además de eso, le van muy bien y mucha más pera asada hubiese estado genial, para la próxima será 😉.

The cream looks delicious, but what makes me curious about add pears to the soup and I've never done it. Usually I only enjoy pears in drinks or eat them straight.

Omg this cream looks so good to me, I love potatoes cream usually but I love leek so much as an ingredient, I never mix potatoes and leek with the pear but looks such a great mix , I will steal your idea , it's so creative, thanks for sharing!!❤️

I'm glad you liked it, I saw this idea on a Youtube channel, in fact I left the link at the end. Of course I adapted the recipe to my availability of ingredients. The original recipe used a little more pears and some olive oil.
