When I lived in Chile, I saw many campers Fe travelers to the south and one of the things I always wanted was that, to buy a Kombi to furnish it as a motor home and travel to the south where everything is greener and nature abounds, giving you beautiful landscapes and meeting people along the way. So I bought the kombi and started the project. First I bought the folding roof and then the tools to insulate the inside, both from the cold and the heat. We had already made a model of how I wanted each area of the RV and we also opened an Instagram with a logo called "hogarfugaz". The idea was to have it ready as soon as possible to start the adventure to the south, going little by little without hurry and knowing every place that life would allow us. I didn't want to be the typical hippie who sells necklaces, since my career as a designer allows me to move without stopping producing and that was one of the things that encouraged me to travel. Besides, the internet in Chile is very good and it was no problem to connect anywhere I could be. But, the pandemic arrived and I had to pause this project. In fact, I decided to sell it because I saw that time was passing and we were still in pandemic and having the kombi parked was going to damage it and well, with the greatest pain I sold it and invested that money. I never stop thinking that this could be resumed later and make that check in my life to travel south with an RV. However, life takes many turns and where I am, I'm doing well, very well. But it will always be my project waiting to start one day. 💚

I leave you with a writing about kiwi (the kombi) that I wrote a while back and want to share with you:

REMEMBERING
You know all those dreams and projects you used to tell me about over and over again?
You know those trips you planned and thinking about them made you smile?
I have no idea what's going to happen, I can only tell you not to get tired of fighting for your dreams for a single minute.

LET'S TRAVEL
Take me with you to observe the world, if it's too cold, we stop to listen to music, I see you prepare some muffins with butter and coffee with milk, let's count the moles that are in the sky and then enter me and you are watching a movie on Netflix until you fall asleep and then watch the sunrise and keep moving forward.

FUTURISTIC DETAILS
She was driving me. Normal, I know you don't like driving me. You'd sit your ass in my passenger seat and at every stoplight, it was a reason to joke, to remember, to observe, to photograph.

On the radio played that song they once dedicated to each other, one of the first dedicated. It is still moving, especially at this moment.

Cuando vivía en Chile, vi muchas campers Fe viajeros hacia el sur y una de las cosas que siempre quise fue esa, comprarme una Kombi para amoblarla como casa rodante y viajar hacia el sur donde todo es más verde y la naturaleza abunda, dándote hermosos paisajes y conociendo personas en el camino. Entonces compré la kombi y empecé el proyecto. Primero se compró el techo plegable y luego los implementos para aislar la parte de adentro, tanto del frío, como del calor. Ya se había hecho una maqueta de como quería cada área de la casa rodante y también abrimos un Instagram con un logo que se llama “hogarfugaz”. La idea era tenerla lista lo más pronto posible para iniciar la aventura hacia el sur, yendo poco a poco sin prisa y conociendo cada lugar que la vida nos permitiera. No quería ser la típica hippie que vende collares, ya que mi carrera como diseñadora me permite moverme sin dejar de producir y eso, era una de las cosas que más me animaba a viajar. Aparte, el internet en Chile es muy bueno y no era problema conectarme en cualquier parte que pudiese estar. Pero, llegó la pandemia y tuve que pausar este proyecto. De hecho, decidí venderla porque vi que pasaba el tiempo y seguíamos en pandemia y tener la kombi estacionada, la iba a dañar y bueno, con el dolor más grande la vendí e invertí ese dinero. Nunca dejo de pensar que esto podría volver a retomarse más adelante y hacer ese check en mi vida de viajar al sur con una casa rodante. Sin embargo, la vida da muchas vueltas y donde estoy, estoy bien, muy bien. Pero siempre será mi proyecto esperando arrancar alguna día. 💚

Les dejo un escrito sobre kiwi (la kombi) que escribí un tiempo atrás y quiero compartir con ustedes:

RECORDANDO
¿Sabes todos esos sueños y proyectos de los que me contabas una y otra vez?
¿Sabes esos viajes de los que planeas y de pensarlos te hacían sonreír?
No tengo idea de lo que va a pasar, solo puedo decirte que no te canses de luchar por tus sueños ni un solo minuto.

VIAJEMOS
Llévame contigo a observar el mundo, si hace mucho frio, nos paramos a escuchar música, veo que se preparan unos pancitos con mantequilla y café con leche, contemos los lunares que están en el cielo y luego entran en mí y están viendo una película en Netflix hasta conciliar el sueño para luego ver el amanecer y seguir avanzando.

DETALLES FUTURISTAS
Me conducía ella. Normal, sé que no te gusta conducirme. Sentabas tu trasero en mi copiloto y en cada semáforo, era un motivo para bromear, para recordar, para observar, para fotografiar.
