¡Hola, amigos! ¿Qué tal? ¿Cómo están? Por aquí les traigo mi experiencia: hace unos días fui a la consulta del reumatólogo. Existía la posibilidad de que, sumado a la fibromialgia, estuviera sufriendo de artritis; sin embargo, esta posibilidad no se concreta hasta que se visualiza en los exámenes o en alguna placa. Por eso, el doctor me mandó a realizar muchísimos exámenes de laboratorio y rayos X de varias partes del cuerpo y de distintas maneras.
Hello friends! How are you doing? I’m here to share my experience: a few days ago, I went to the rheumatologist. There was a possibility that, on top of fibromyalgia, I might be suffering from arthritis. However, that possibility isn't concrete until it can be seen in lab tests or imaging. Because of this, the doctor ordered a ton of blood tests and X-rays of various parts of my body from different angles.
En cuanto a los análisis de laboratorio, tuvieron que sacarme alrededor de tres tubos de sangre. Créanme que la enfermera no tenía la mejor sutileza, así que me quedó un morado gigantesco como por 15 días. Por otro lado, la cuestión de las placas sí fue bastante sencilla y cómoda, por así decirlo. Los resultados me los entregaban en cuatro días hábiles, por lo que estuve bastante ansiosa hasta el momento de ir a buscarlos.
As for the lab work, they had to draw about three tubes of blood. Believe me, the nurse wasn't the most gentle, so I was left with a massive bruise for about 15 days. On the other hand, getting the X-rays was actually quite simple and comfortable, so to speak. The results were scheduled to be ready in four business days, so I was pretty anxious right up until the moment I went to pick them up.
Lo que fue para mi sorpresa es que todos los exámenes, aparentemente, habían salido bien. Sin embargo, como en la reumatología todo es tan complejo, raro y loco, no quería cantar victoria hasta que los viera mi doctor. A simple vista todo estaba dentro de los parámetros normales y los valores regulares, así que me tocó esperar para ser evaluada por mi reumatólogo.
To my surprise, all the exams apparently came back normal. However, since everything in rheumatology is so complex, strange, and crazy, I didn't want to claim victory until my doctor took a look at them himself. At first glance, everything was within normal ranges and standard values, so I had to wait for my official evaluation.
¡Y hoy, contenta y gracias a Dios, puedo decirles que por el lado reumatológico todo está bien! El doctor me refirió a mi endocrino, porque les cuento que esta vez empecé con los médicos al revés: siempre solía comenzar por el endocrinólogo y al final terminaba no yendo al reumatólogo. Esta vez lo hice a la inversa, y ahora me toca esperar un tiempito para la cita endocrina.
Today, happily and thank God, I can tell you that from a rheumatological standpoint, everything is clear! The doctor referred me to my endocrinologist because this time I started with doctors in reverse: I used to always start with the endocrinologist and end up skipping the rheumatologist. This time I took the opposite route, and now I just have to wait a little bit for my endocrine appointment.
Muy probablemente los síntomas que tengo se deban a problemas de la tiroides, los cuales ya he sufrido anteriormente. Así que bueno, le agradezco a Dios porque no estoy enfrentando una nueva enfermedad, todo salió bajo control y me siento súper agradecida y bendecida. Sé que las enfermedades reumáticas son bastante complicadas y es muy fácil que se desencadenen una tras otra.
Very likely, the symptoms I'm experiencing are due to thyroid issues, which I've dealt with in the past. So well, I thank God because I'm not dealing with a new illness—everything came back controlled, and I feel super grateful and blessed. I know that rheumatic diseases are quite complex and can easily trigger one after another.
