Hola amigo, ¿qué tal están? ¡Bienvenidos!

English Translation

Hello my friend, how is everyone? Welcome!
Today I was super happy because, for the very first time, I attended a baby shower. It's really strange because, at 28 years old, I had never been invited to one that I can remember. The invitation was so lovely, and I felt super grateful to be included. Naturally, I went out and got a gift.
Since it was such an intimate and personal gathering—meaning it was only the closest friends and family—we all pitched in with finger foods or something to eat and share. I had a blast. Between the parents-to-be, I am closer to the mom, who is my friend. I don't know the dad as well, but we still had a wonderful time.

Around here, baby showers usually involve playing lots of games, eating, and hanging out, but honestly, the absolute best part was the games. The parents are both pretty competitive, so playing in teams made the rest of us just as competitive as them. We won some games, lost others, and simply enjoyed a few, but I think it's such a beautiful thing to do for the mother—and really for both parents. It's deeply meaningful to have those special people there who, God willing, will be a part of the little girl's life as she grows.

I loved it so much and truly enjoyed myself. I definitely hope to get invited to many more baby showers in the future—or maybe even have my own one day, though in the distant future! With my daughter, I didn't have the chance to do a gender reveal or a baby shower at all, so it's an experience I'd love to have for myself eventually. But for now, I'm more than happy just being a guest at everyone else's!
