Un domingo de picnic y de sí a todo para consentir a las pequeñas|A Sunday picnic where we spared no expense to spoil the girls

¡Hola, amigos! ¿Qué tal? ¿Cómo están? Feliz domingo para todos. Hoy tuve la grata visita de mi sobrina Gabriela, y esto significa que mi hija Sophia no me presta atención en todo el día. Sin embargo, esto no me molesta en lo absoluto; al contrario, me alegra muchísimo. Sophia pasa la mayor parte del tiempo solita, así que cuando viene su prima es su momento perfecto para ser niña, disfrutar al máximo de todos sus juguetes y hasta inventar una que otra travesura. En términos generales las dos son bastante tranquilas, muchísimo diría yo, aunque mi sobrina es un poquito más tremenda. A pesar de eso, aquí se porta muy, muy bien.

​Casi siempre que viene les encanta armar algo al estilo de un picnic. Hoy estuve bastante ocupada y no tuve el tiempo de sentarme a compartir con ellas, pero quise tener un bonito gesto para que sintieran mi presencia. Me propuse prepararles una bandejita de dulces, nada del otro mundo pero hecha con lo que tenía en casa: unas gomitas, galletas Oreo, Pepito, un poquito de cereal y algún otro dulcecito, todo acompañado con un vasito de refresco.
​A veces, cuando están juntas, aplicamos el "sí a todo" por un día y no pasa nada malo. Es ese momento en el que se bañan tarde, desayunamos lo que queremos aunque no sea lo más saludable, y dejamos que disfruten de sus dulces. Es un día mucho más permisivo y libre para ellas. Les armé sus bandejitas y quedaron completamente encantadas. Se las llevé hasta su picnic jugando a ser su mesera, y la verdad es que les fascinó la sorpresa.

​No tuve mucho tiempo de tomar fotos, y las pocas que logré no me parecen tan apropiadas para subir porque andaban en vestido. Por eso, aquí les dejo una fotico que resume perfectamente cómo pasaron su domingo. A veces, un simple detalle puede hacernos sentir mucho más presentes y recordarnos lo hermoso que es verlas felices.

Hello, friends! How is it going? How are you all doing? Happy Sunday to everyone. Today I had the wonderful visit of my niece Gabriela, and this means that my daughter Sophia doesn't pay attention to me all day long. However, this doesn't bother me at all; on the contrary, it makes me incredibly happy. Sophia spends most of her time alone, so when her cousin comes over, it's her perfect moment to just be a kid, fully enjoy all her toys, and even get into a little bit of mischief. Generally speaking, they are both quite calm, very much so I'd say, although my niece is a little bit more mischievous. Despite that, she behaves very, very well here.

​Almost every time she comes over, they love setting up something like a picnic. Today I was quite busy and didn't have the time to sit down and share with them, but I wanted to have a nice gesture so they would feel I was there. I decided to make them a little tray of sweets—nothing out of this world, but made with what I had at home: some gummies, Oreo cookies, Pepito, a little bit of cereal, and some other little treat, all accompanied by a small glass of soda.

​Sometimes, when they are together, we do a "yes to everything" day, and nothing bad happens. It's that time when they take a bath late, we eat whatever we want for breakfast even if it's not the healthiest, and we let them enjoy their sweets. It's a much more permissive and free day for them. I put their little trays together and they were completely thrilled. I brought them over to their picnic, pretending to be their waitress, and honestly, they loved the surprise.
​I didn't have much time to take photos, and the few I did get don't seem quite appropriate to upload because they were wearing dresses. That's why I'm sharing this little photo here that perfectly sums up how they spent their Sunday. Sometimes, a simple gesture can make us feel much more present and remind us how beautiful it is to see them happy.
