Intellectual growth

Have you noticed that old people(once young) suddenly become outdated in the things they know and some of them can't even seem to operate a smartphone.

I always wondered why the young people then who are now parents know little or nothing about smartphones,the internet celebrities and trendy stuff....they used to know the trendy things during their time right.

I think the one reason is probably because of the weight of responsibilities that they bear when they get older but i also found that a very small percentage of the same age bracket are still better at being "current"(forgive my slangs).

I actually analyzed a lot of old individuals to arrive at this point...To be old doesn't mean you stop having fun....what most of those young people did when they got married and started having kids was that they stopped having fun, stopped learning new things.

When the typewriter was still used widely in every part of the world for typing and printing,before the computer was invented.... A lot of the typewriters then refused to learn to operate a computer when it was first introduced.

Fast forward to several years later,those typewriters were out of business and the ones who had taken the time to learn the new thing(computer) were still in business and were making more.

A letter to the youth

Dear young people,being dogmatic when it comes to new technology or new ways of doing things is not best option, learn the new and add that knowledge to the old...who knows you might come up with something better.

When the smartphone was introduced,the older generation kept on using their small phones,now when those phones are no longer useful and they have to start using smartphones,they are outdated.....Some of em still living in the 90's.

Not to make fun of anyone,the real fact is that,it is easier to stick to old ways than to start new ones because we are always afraid of the unknown....but we should change that mentality..... doesn't mean you have to go deep into all these kinds of knowledge but even the basic understanding is enough.

Learning everyday is important,never allow yourself to get to the point where you would stop learning because you now have kids or because you now have responsibilities.

¿Ha notado que las personas mayores (una vez jóvenes) de repente se vuelven obsoletas en las cosas que saben y algunos de ellos parecen ni siquiera poder operar un teléfono inteligente? Siempre me pregunté por qué los jóvenes de entonces que ahora son padres saben poco o nada sobre los teléfonos inteligentes, las celebridades de Internet y las cosas de moda... solían conocer las cosas de moda en su época, ¿verdad? Creo que la única razón es probablemente por el peso de las responsabilidades que tienen cuando envejecen, pero también descubrí que un porcentaje muy pequeño del mismo grupo de edad sigue siendo mejor para estar "actualizado" (perdonen mi jerga). De hecho, analicé a muchas personas mayores para llegar a este punto... Ser viejo no significa que dejes de divertirte... lo que la mayoría de esos jóvenes hicieron cuando se casaron y comenzaron a tener hijos fue que dejaron de divertirse. divertirse, dejó de aprender cosas nuevas. Cuando la máquina de escribir todavía se usaba ampliamente en todas partes del mundo para escribir e imprimir, antes de que se inventara la computadora... Muchas de las máquinas de escribir se negaron a aprender a operar una computadora cuando se introdujo por primera vez. Avance rápido hasta varios años después, esas máquinas de escribir estaban fuera del negocio y las que se habían tomado el tiempo para aprender lo nuevo (computadora) todavía estaban en el negocio y estaban haciendo más. Queridos jóvenes, ser dogmáticos cuando se trata de nuevas tecnologías o nuevas formas de hacer las cosas no es la mejor opción, aprendan lo nuevo y agreguen ese conocimiento a lo viejo... quién sabe, quizás se les ocurra algo mejor. Cuando se introdujo el teléfono inteligente, la generación anterior siguió usando sus teléfonos pequeños, ahora que esos teléfonos ya no son útiles y tienen que comenzar a usar teléfonos inteligentes, están desactualizados ... Algunos de ellos todavía viven en los años 90. No es para burlarme de nadie, el hecho real es que es más fácil apegarse a las viejas costumbres que empezar nuevas porque siempre tenemos miedo a lo desconocido... pero deberíamos cambiar esa mentalidad... no No significa que tengas que profundizar en todos estos tipos de conocimiento, pero incluso la comprensión básica es suficiente. Aprender todos los días es importante, nunca te permitas llegar al punto en el que dejarías de aprender porque ahora tienes hijos o porque ahora tienes responsabilidades. Una cita sabia dice que las personas no envejecen, simplemente dejaron de divertirse
