Hola me sumo a este concurso sobre las aves del mundo, no tienen que ser unas aves especificas o especiales. Por eso les presento una pequeña ave que en varias ocasiones llega al patio de mi casa por comida y agua, entonces es cuando aprovecho de tomarle fotos pero en silencio para que no se vaya y así no interrumpir que se esta alimentando.Se llama Palomita Maraquita o Tortolita Maraquita, porque en su aleteo hace un sonido como una maraquita.
Hello, I join this contest about the birds of the world, they don't have to be specific or special birds. So I present a small bird that on several occasions comes to my backyard for food and water, then is when I take the opportunity to take pictures but quietly so it does not go away and thus not interrupt that is feeding. It is called Palomita Maraquita or Tortolita Maraquita, because in its flapping it makes a sound like a maraquita.

Aun siendo adultas son de pequeño tamaño, de color gris pálido, en sus plumitas los bordes negros se asemejan a unas “escamas” como las de los pescados. Pertenece a los Columbidae. Le gusta vivir en tierras húmedas y áridas, tropicales o subtropicales, entre otros, quiere decir que puede sobrevivir en ambas.
Even as adults they are small in size, pale gray in color, and the black edges of their feathers resemble "scales" like those of fish. It belongs to the Columbidae. It likes to live in humid and arid lands, tropical or subtropical, among others, meaning that it can survive in both.
