Arsenal blew up their title chance

Since the beginning of the season towards mid-season when Arsenal were having a good time on the log, I've had this doubt within me, which I also started in some of my blogs, that Arsenal isn't a team to be trusted, and despite being a fan of the club, I'd rather not raise my hopes high only to be let down like they just did to many fans who taught Arsenal would win the league this season.

Being in the title race goes beyond just topping the table for some period; it goes way down to the commitment and mentality of the team, the fighting spirit, and the ability to give it all to make sure your dreams are fulfilled. Unfortunately, Arsenal FC lacks that, and it's no surprise when it comes to the most important period of the season that they started losing points week in and week out as though they had no ambition whatsoever.

To tell the truth, they had so many injury problems with the likes of William Saliba, but prior to that, they were able to deliver when Gabriel Jesus was out injured for about 6 months. Unfortunately, they became rustic with a few weeks to go, and that cost them the league. We can't justify the loss based on injury, given the fact that City also played without a left back for months to date, and yet they're winning games.

The importance of buying quantity and ambitious players can never be overemphasized, nor can the need to have a large squad depth of quality players be pushed aside as well, because when one is injured or out of form, another will cover for him and get the team going. I hope they'll make a difference next season, but I doubt Arsenal will be anywhere near the title race come next season.
