HELLO HIVE

It's been over five days since I planted the seeds of maize which is in participation to the maize Challenge, and today I'll be gracing your sight with the five day Post-Planting occurrence, observations and report card of what happen within those days.

It'll be noted that I've previously shared the pre-planting exercise I engage on here and here, after Which I shared the planting process some days ago, so today's post will revolve around the Post-Planting occurrence, which I'll be sharing below;

DAY 1 AND 2

After I planted the maize, it rain on the evening of that very day, which is a bonus for me and I don't have to start stressing myself in search of water to water the soil.

And from the images above you can see the farmland is soaked with water, which is an evidence of how heavy the rain was.

DAY 3

On the third day of the Post-Planting of the maize, the maize steam start sprouting out, my brother was the one for first took notice of it, and after I saw that they've started germinating, I was super excited about the new development and progress of my plants.

It didn't rain on the 3rd day that I noticed that the seeds were germinating, but based on the how the clouds form I thought it'll rain later in the day, but it didn't.

DAY 4 AND 5

Like I said earlier, I expected that it'll rain on the third day like it did on the first and second day after planting the seeds, so I went in search of water, by fetching water from the well and spraying it on the germinating plants.

It you closely observe the soil around the germinated plants, you'll notice it's dry and seems to lack any nutrients, so I fetch for the water, and as you can see from the images below, how I was pouring water on each plants, after which I spray the remaining water generally on the farmland.

• That's about all about all that took place within the first 5 days after planting the seeds, i notices so weeds as start sprouting out alongside the maize, but I want to wait for the maize to grow to a certain extent before uprooting the weeds around it, so I won't affect the maize or the once that are yet to germinate.
